Things in the NFL Regular Season gave a turn this Week 7 as one of the two undefeated teams, the Vikings, saw their streak end against the strong Lions, surrendering their record and Conference and Division lead.

Now, only the Kansas City Chiefs remain with an unblemished score, something that scares everyone as they tend to show their best face in the postseason, so if they are only warming up, a third Vincent Lombardi trophy in a row will come.

There were multiple close clashes to watch, and then, there were some beatings like the Saints taking 10-33 to the Broncos, the Giants ending on 3-28 under the Eagles, and then, of course, the beating the Commanders handed to the Jets, finishing on a 40-7.

We are not going to enter into all the details of those beatdowns, as we have some other fun matches to break down in the meantime, so get ready to go along with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Lions won on the road in their first NFC North matchup after surviving losing the lead in the final six minutes. They rallied for a game-winning 44-yard field goal from their\u00a0rookie kicker and were able to take down the NFC’s top team without NFL sack leader Aidan Hutchinson, who\u00a0suffered an expected season-ending lower-leg injury\u00a0vs. Dallas.

The Lions had been leading for most of the game, but Minnesota started the fourth quarter with two field goals, then forced a David Montgomery fumble that Ivan Pace Jr. returned for a go-ahead touchdown.

The Lions had one final chance to reach\u00a0Bates’ range, and he easily split the uprights for the winning kick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0foiled the\u00a0San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl LVIII revenge plans and remained the NFL’s last undefeated team. <\/a>Another stalwart defensive performance, highlighted by three interceptions off\u00a0Brock Purdy, covered for one of the worst statistical outputs of\u00a0Patrick Mahomes’ career in a 28-18 Kansas City win.

This was Kansas City’s biggest test since the opening win against Baltimore, and while the\u00a049ers\u00a0haven’t been themselves in 2024, it’s still meaningful to go into Levi’s Stadium and pull out a win as they did on Sunday. With each win, they make it easier for the AFC playoffs to go through Arrowhead.

For the 49ers, at some point, we knew the injuries to their offensive skill-position talent would catch up to them. Playing the entire season without\u00a0Christian McCaffrey\u00a0is plenty of a challenge in itself, but trying to throw the ball without Deebo Samuel,\u00a0Brandon Aiyuk,\u00a0and\u00a0Jauan Jennings\u00a0proved to be too much for Brock Purdy to overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite losing their first two games of the season, the Ravens had reeled off four consecutive wins coming into this primetime matchup, and they\u2019d done it in dominating fashion.

The addition of Derrick Henry, combined with a rock-solid run defense, has allowed Baltimore to achieve the highest rushing yards differential by any team since 2000.

On the other side of the coin, the Ravens have struggled when it comes to defending the pass. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield, Liam Coen, and the rest of the Bucs\u2019 offense have been lighting up the scoreboard in recent weeks with their potent aerial attack.\u00a0

The Bucs have struggled both in primetime and when playing the Ravens in recent seasons, and they were certainly hoping that 2024 would provide a different result on Monday Night Football.

However, the Ravens overcame an early 10-0 deficit and built a 34-10 lead before late-game antics ballooned the final score to 41-31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
