Matchweek 10 of the Premier League brought joy to Liverpool, who capitalized on the poor results of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa to regain their spot as the sole leaders after a hard-fought victory over Brighton.

The Reds held firm at Anfield with goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, while City, who started the week at the top, were overtaken by a Bournemouth team that is proving to be a thorn in the side of the league\u2019s upper echelon.

Meanwhile, Arsenal failed to secure a point, and Manchester United and Chelsea ended in a draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manchester City had gone 15 years without dropping points to Bournemouth, but that streak ended with their recent visit as the Cherries defeated Pep Guardiola’s squad 2-1, costing them the Premier League lead.

The scoring was opened by Antoine Semenyo in the 9th minute when Milos Kerkez broke down the left wing and crossed for Semenyo, who controlled, turned, and beat the opposing goalkeeper. A similar left-wing cross led to Evanilson\u2019s goal in the 64th minute, while Josko Gvardiol pulled one back in the 82nd minute to close the gap, but it was not enough.

Guardiola\u2019s side has been obtaining points in last-minute plays, but this time was not possible, but almost did as a header of Erling Haaland was saved by the goalkeeper, and then his shot hit the post.

Even with the satisfaction of leading the Premier League, Liverpool had to fight for their 2-1 victory over Brighton, who took an early lead in the 14th minute through Turkish midfielder Ferdi Kadioglu with a cross-shot that hit the post and entered the goal.

The Reds struggled in the first half but found the equalizer in the second when a cross from Gakpo was not touched by anyone and slipped into the goal in the 70th minute.Two minutes later, Salah struck a beautiful left-footed goal to secure the home win.
