The course is a par-72, measuring 7,632 yards, and is located at the Diamante Cabo San Lucas Resort.

2024 World Wide Technology Championship <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although the reigning champion will be present, the highest-ranked player in this professional PGA tournament is American Cameron Young, currently ranked 32nd in the world. Young qualified by finishing in the Top 30 of the FedExCup Playoffs, and this season, he’s been in the top ten of a PGA event six times.

He also finished ninth at the Masters Tournament this year and is aiming to break a long winless streak in Los Cabos. His last victory dates back to May 30, 2021, when he won the Evans Scholars Invitational.

Another player to watch is fellow American Max Greyserman, ranked 42nd in the world, who qualified through the top 10 and ties from the previous event.

Like Young, Greyserman has yet to claim major titles at the elite level, though he has made five top-10 finishes this year. A win at this course could be a turning point for the 29-year-old golfer, who has been a professional since 2017.

The third top contender, based on ranking, Beau Hossler is currently 80th in the world. At 26 years old, he’s seeking the first title of his career, which began in 2016. He has placed in the top 10 of a PGA tournament three times so far in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next is Lucas Glover, a 44-year-old veteran with six wins in his long professional career, which began in 2001. The American boasts a U.S. Open title from 2009 and a fifth-place finish in the PGA Championship, <\/a>along with other trophies such as the Wells Fargo Championship and the John Deere Classic. Notably, in 2023, nearly a year ago, he achieved his latest major success by winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship, defeating Patrick Cantlay, one of the top players in the world.

Other American contenders for the trophy in Mexico include Maverick McNealy, J.J. Spaun, Harris English, and Ben Griffin.

Erik van Rooyen, at 34, has had a challenging year, but he arrives as the defending champion of this tournament, where the last repeat champion was Norway’s Viktor Hovland. The South African also claimed the Barracuda Championship in 2021, though his results in 2024 have not been as strong.

Interestingly, Colombia will be represented by two players to watch: Camilo Villegas, last season’s runner-up, and Nico Echevarr\u00eda, fresh off a win at the ZOZO Championship. Villegas, a seasoned PGA Tour player, has achieved five tour wins, including last year’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
