We are eager to see the Liguilla of the Apertura MX 2024. However, before they start, the teams from seventh to tenth place need to clash on the Play-In.

Out of the last four teams in the top ten, only two of them will make it into the last eight, but it is not as simple as just winning a quick match to get their entry, at least for one of the teams.

The first teams to play will be the 9th placed Guadalajara and the 10th placed Atlas, in a match where the victor will push to the Play-Ins final and the loser will be eliminated.

Soon after, the seventh-placed America will face the eighth-placed Tijuana, but they receive a different treatment, as the winner goes to the playoffs as the seventh seed against Toluca, while the loser goes to the Play-Ins Final to get a second chance at making it through.

With that in mind, it is time to start breaking down the two matches ahead of us and what we believe will be going down on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams ended the season on a low note, but they did enough to secure a top-10 finish. Now, they face off and have direct elimination on the line, so we are likely to see them go all out.

When we look at the end of their season, Chivas might have lost their most recent clash, but they got some wins in the later stage of the regular phase. Meanwhile, Atlas seemed unable to capitalize on their offense and ended the season with many draws.

This Derby de Guadalajara will be one of the most important in recent times, and we believe the locals will take the upper hand by 2-0.

For Am\u00e9rica, this will be a new experience, as they have usually qualified for the playoffs directly and this is their first instance playing in this format implemented since last year.

Tijuana has not made it to the postseason<\/a> since the Clausura 2019, and they are now trying to make their way into the top eight.

Both teams met before and had a 2 – 2 draw as a result, but that was before the \u00c1guilas picked up the pace, so we believe that, in this meeting, the visitors will get the upper hand after a 1-2 victory.
