It’s hard to tell what happened last Wednesday, except for the fact that the remarkable Cruz Azul from the regular season was nowhere to be found.

Against a team that had to survive two Play-In matches to reach this stage, the Cementeros got zero shots on target from only eight attempts. They also achieved a measly 26% of possession and completed a little more than a third of the passes than Tijuana, with only 253, and still had less than 75% accuracy. <\/strong>

Against Atlas, they had no issue. In fact, they have two 3-0 wins in a row in this postseason, <\/a>a remarkable feat for a team that, not long ago, was a bottom dweller. Still, the fact is that they had to play two more matches than Cruz Azul and still looked like the fresher and clearer team.

They had only four shots on target and scored three times, proving a remarkable efficiency. They also got close to 75% of possession, showing a performance worthy of Pep Guardiola’s wetter dreams. Their front three, composed of Reynosa, Zu\u00f1iga, and \u00c1lvarez, got in charge of the goals, with one each.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Betting Analysis: Cruz Azul vs. Tijuana <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is little more to say. Statistics are worthless when you came as a favorite and got completely destroyed. We must add that Cruz Azul isn’t precisely a team with a “hot chest,” as they say in Latin America. In fact, they tend to be the opposite.

With the Ciudad de los Deportes stadium being in their favor, and the team boasting an unbeaten record in the capital this season, they should have something to rely on. Still, it will hardly be enough.

Cruz Azul will go on the attack, and there is a chance that they leave too much space, allowing another disappointment. We will go for a win for the locals either way. Go for a 2-1.<\/strong>
