The 28th Matchday of the Premier League has just wrapped up, and we are thinking that there is little else to do when it comes to the top team, as Liverpool has a 15-point lead at the top and only there are 10 matchdays to go.

We had an upset too in one of the early matches of the Matchday, and then, an unexpected draw in one of the most interesting clashes of the whole Matchday.

For now, it\u2019s time to jump in and break down what took place in the matches that we had during the 28th Matchday to have a clear picture of what we should be expecting to take place now as we are entering the last stretch of what has been a totally exciting Premier League Season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the fixture may not have raised too many eyebrows in years gone by, this season has seen the Reds more or less leapfrog\u00a0Pep Guardiola\u2019s\u00a0team and become an aspirational top-four club in the making.

And following a run of three games without a win,\u00a0Nuno Esp\u00edrito Santo\u2019s side managed to get back on the right track, making a clear statement by heaping further misery on Man City\u2019s dreadful season to date.\u00a0

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the goal required to win quite late in the match, opening and closing the score by the 83rd minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reds trailed at the break following a rare defensive mistake involving Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker. However, they stepped it up in the second half, with\u00a0Darwin Nunez\u00a0and\u00a0Mohamed Salah getting on the scoresheet to ensure the league leaders moved one step closer to being crowned champions of England.

In the first half of stoppage time, the visitors took a surprise lead thanks to a defensive mix-up between Virgil van Dijk and Alisson, leaving Will Smallbone with a simple tap-in, and he obliged to silence many inside Anfield.

Slot responded with a triple change at the break, and within ten minutes of the restart, Liverpool had completed the turnaround and kept it that way to score three points and increase their lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between the home team\u2019s Cucurella\u2019s brilliant run and the goal drought from the visitors in their last five matches, we can\u2019t be surprised about this match\u2019s outcome.

Cole Palmer\u00a0had seen a first-half penalty brilliantly saved by\u00a0Mads Hermansen\u00a0to extend his goal drought to nine matches in all competitions, with the Blues becoming increasingly frustrated before\u00a0Cucurella\u00a0struck.

The Spaniard received the ball in space and picked out the bottom corner with a sweet hit, netting his fourth goal in eight home matches.

Leicester came closest when\u00a0Tosin Adarabioyo\u00a0headed onto his crossbar in the first half but failed to threaten once they were behind, as they fell to a fifth consecutive Premier League<\/a> defeat, having failed to score in all five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even with a point in the bag, this might have been such a bad night for the Visitors due to a factor outside what took place on the field.

Arsenal dominated the opening 45 minutes at Old Trafford but lacked any cutting edge and were punished in first-half stoppage time when United captain Bruno Fernandes curled a 25-yard free-kick past a badly positioned David Raya in goal.

Raya made amends with fine second-half saves from Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee before Arsenal finally found the end product with 16 minutes left.

United failed to clear and Rice sent a superb rising drive past Andre Onana at the Stretford End to give Arsenal a point – but it did little to dent Liverpool\u2019s seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the table, which is likely their biggest worry right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
