The Clausura MX Femenil quarterfinals delivered excitement, surprises, and a dramatic finish in the Monterrey derby. With dominant wins and closely fought battles, the Liguilla lived up to its high expectations.
Tournament leaders Am\u00e9rica had no trouble crushing Ju\u00e1rez to advance to the semifinals, with Pachuca enjoying a similarly dominant performance against Atlas.
In tighter matchups, Guadalajara pulled off an upset by winning both legs against Pumas, while Monterrey secured a last-minute goal against Tigres that earned them qualification thanks to their higher finish in the regular season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Quarterfinals Second Leg: Games Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Am\u00e9rica returned home aiming to take control of the series<\/strong>\u2014and they quickly tilted the tie in their favor.
Just 25 minutes in, Nigerian defender Chidinma Okeke opened the scoring for the \u2018\u00c1guilas\u2019 with a header off a corner kick. Four minutes later, it was Nicolette Hern\u00e1ndez\u2019s turn to score after a brilliant team play and a backheel assist from Sarah Luebbert, who would go on to make it 2-0.
Am\u00e9rica sealed the match in the first half. In the 41st minute, Angelique Saldivar finished calmly to the far post to make it 3-0, and just before the break (45+2), Okeke struck again\u2014this time with a left-footed shot from another corner.
The final goal came in the 57th minute when Saldivar unleashed a stunning long-range strike that was impossible for goalkeeper Renata Masciarelli to stop. Am\u00e9rica will now face Chivas in the semifinals, setting up a new edition of the Cl\u00e1sico Nacional, this time in the women\u2019s game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clausura MX Fem Quarterfinals Second Leg: Pachuca vs. Atlas <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Pachuca also lived up to expectations and eliminated Atlas with an aggregate score of 5-2.<\/strong> After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the \u2018Tuzas\u2019 took control at home\u2014though it wasn\u2019t as easy as they might have expected.
In the 13th minute, the home side opened the scoring through Ayo Oke, who only had to tap the ball into the net after a perfect assist from Nina Nicosia, who left her alone in front of an empty goal.
In the second half, at the 60-minute mark, the tournament\u2019s top scorer, Charlyn Corral, converted a penalty to make it 2-0.
However, Mar\u00eda Paula Salas pulled one back with a fantastic free-kick goal that briefly added tension to the match. But it was just a mirage\u2014four minutes later, Charlyn scored again, rounding the keeper and finishing calmly for her 21st goal of the season.
In the closing minutes, the final blow came from Daniela Flores, who headed in a cross from Claudia Ibarra to seal the 4-1 win and secure their place in the semifinals, where they will face the reigning champions, Monterrey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest surprise of the quarterfinals came from Guadalajara, who defeated Pumas 1-0 on the road and advanced to the semifinals of the Liga MX Fem<\/a> with a 3-0 aggregate score.
