Columbus Crew are going through their worst stretch in quite some time. With 28 points, they sit fifth in the Eastern Conference, but that’s not the main issue. In their last match, they were crushed 5-1 by Inter Miami. Starting goalkeeper Patrick Schulte is injured, and Nicholas Hagen has taken over in goal, conceding 10 goals in the last three games and losing two of them. Schulte will still be out, and it remains to be seen whether coach Wilfried Nancy sticks with the Guatemalan or turns to veteran Evan Bush, who kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against NYCFC on March 22.

What initially seemed like a difficult situation for coach Jesper Sorensen turned out to be a positive, as the win also allowed him to rotate the squad and give several fringe players valuable minutes in official matches.
