Unlike most of their rivals, Italy did not play any friendlies ahead of the tournament, meaning they could be a bit more rested, as their last match was a month ago.

Among their standout players are goalkeeper Laura Giuliani, who plays for AC Milan, and forward Cristiana Girelli, who scored 19 goals in Serie A to finish as the league\u2019s top scorer while leading Juventus to the title. Also in the squad are Martina Piemonte (17 goals) and Manuela Giugliano (12), who were the second and third-highest scorers in Serie A. The team has a strong Juventus core. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
