Week 8 of the NFL came to an end with great games, some contenders solidifying their position, and one major surprise: the New York Jets earned their first win of the season.

The Jets broke their long losing streak and pulled off a shocker by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 38-39 on the road after scoring 23 points in the fourth quarter.

In the AFC, the Indianapolis Colts remain at the top after defeating the Tennessee Titans, while the Green Bay Packers lead the NFC following their road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Baltimore Ravens returned to winning ways against the Chicago Bears, and the Houston Texans defeated the San Francisco 49ers in another standout matchup.

NFL Week 8: Los Angeles Chargers vs. Minnesota Vikings <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) earned a very important win over the Minnesota Vikings (3-4), keeping themselves in the AFC West race.

It was a great Thursday night for Justin Herbert, who completed 18 of 25 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns, though he was intercepted once.

Second-year wide receiver Ladd McConkey scored one touchdown, while rookies Oronde Gadsden and Tre Harris had the others. For Harris, a second-round pick out of Ole Miss, it was his first career NFL touchdown. Meanwhile, second-year running back Kimani Vidal also recorded his first rushing touchdown in the league, finishing with 23 carries for 117 yards.

On defense, rookie RJ Mickens had his first interception, while Justin Eboigbe recorded two sacks, bringing his season total to four.

It was a rough night for the Vikings. They managed a field goal from Will Reichard in the second quarter and a touchdown from Jordan Addison in the third. Carson Wentz went 15-of-27 for 144 yards and one touchdown.

With the win, the Chargers moved into second place in the AFC West, trailing only the Denver Broncos (6-2), while the Vikings sit at the bottom of the NFC North, led by the Green Bay Packers (5-1-1). <\/strong>

NFL Week 8: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In another great performance by Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) defeated the New York Giants (2-6) 38-20, extending their lead in the NFC East.

For the second straight week, Hurts proved he\u2019s a quarterback who can dominate through the air, throwing four touchdown passes to match his career high. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 179 yards with no interceptions. In total, he now has 15 passing touchdowns plus five more on the ground.

Tight end Dallas Goedert led the way with two touchdown catches, while Jahan Dotson recorded his first of the season and Saquon Barkley added another. Barkley also had 14 rushing attempts for 150 yards and a rushing touchdown.

For the Giants, Jaxson Dart completed 14 of 24 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown caught by Cameron Skattebo. Dart also scored the other touchdown on a run with just under three minutes left in the game.

The Eagles lead the NFC East by three games over their closest rivals, while the Giants sit at the bottom of the division. <\/strong>

NFL Week 8: Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Denver Broncos (6-2) continue their push for the postseason and showed no mercy to the Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1), crushing them 44-24.

It was a great performance from Bo Nix, who, for the third time in his career, threw four touchdown passes in a single game. The quarterback completed 19 of 29 passes for 247 yards, threw one interception, and was not sacked.

Wide receiver Troy Franklin caught two touchdown passes, while rookies RJ Harvey and Pat Bryant scored the others. For Bryant, a wide receiver out of Illinois, it was his first NFL touchdown, and for Harvey, it was a standout afternoon\u2014he added two more rushing touchdowns on top of his receiving one.

The rookie running back, Denver\u2019s second-round pick out of UCF, recorded his first career rushing touchdowns in the NFL, adding them to the receiving score from this game and two others he had previously scored.

On defense, second-year outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman and rookie defensive back Jahdae Barron each had the first interception of their careers.

For the Cowboys, running back Javonte Williams was a bright spot, rushing for two touchdowns to bring his season total to eight, placing him third in the NFL behind Jonathan Taylor (12) and Josh Jacobs (9).

It wasn\u2019t a good day for Dak Prescott, though. The quarterback completed 19 of 31 passes for 188 yards and was intercepted twice. Jalen Tolbert\u2019s touchdown came on a pass from Joe Milton III.

The Broncos lead the AFC West with one more win than both the Chargers and Chiefs, while the Cowboys sit second in the NFC East, three games behind the Eagles. <\/strong>

NFL Week 8: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Green Bay Packers continue to dream big (5-1-1) after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) on the road, 25-35, to take the top spot in the NFC.

Thanks to Chris Boswell\u2019s field goals, the home team led 19-14 at the end of the third quarter, with 13 of those points coming from the kicker. The fourth quarter began with a touchdown from the visitors, and that\u2019s when the collapse began.

It was a great game for Jordan Love, who threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns, completing 29 of 37 passes without any interceptions or sacks.

Tight end Tucker Kraft scored twice, making it three straight games with a touchdown, while rookie wide receiver Savion Williams from TCU recorded his first NFL touchdown.

Meanwhile, running back Josh Jacobs added a rushing touchdown, bringing his season total to eight, second only to Jonathan Taylor (12). Jacobs had scored twice in each of his last three games and has only failed to score this season in the matchup against the Browns.

Aaron Rodgers had a solid game against his former team, but it wasn\u2019t enough. The veteran completed 24 of 36 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns\u2014one to DK Metcalf and the other to rookie Roman Wilson, who scored his first career touchdown.

The Packers now sit atop the NFC, though the Detroit Lions (5-2) are right on their heels in the NFC North race. Despite the loss, the Steelers remain first in the AFC North, holding a one-game lead over the Bengals.<\/strong>
