Inter Miami\u2019s project is just one step away from winning the MLS title. Led by Lionel Messi and company, they have had an outstanding playoff run that brings them into the final as the favorites, especially with the match being played at home.

In the regular season, they finished third in both the Eastern Conference and the league overall with 65 points, just one behind the leaders, the Philadelphia Union.<\/strong> They recorded 19 wins, eight draws, and seven losses, scoring 81 goals\u2014more than any other team\u2014and conceding 55, the most among the league\u2019s top 12 teams.

In the playoffs, they won two and lost one in the series against Nashville, scoring eight goals, then crushed Cincinnati 0\u20134 on the road, and most recently destroyed New York City 5\u20131 in the conference final.<\/strong> They won their last three matches by four-goal margins. Altogether, they have scored 17 goals this postseason and are just one away from the record set by the LA Galaxy last season.

Of course, Lionel Messi must be highlighted. He is the league\u2019s top scorer with 35 goals, nine more than the second-place player, and also the top assist provider with 21.<\/strong> Interestingly, against New York City, he registered only one assist, while the standout was Tadeo Allende, who scored a hat-trick and now has seven goals and one assist in his last three games.

Inter Miami have won their last five home matches, and throughout the season, they achieved 14 wins, three draws, and three losses at home.

In addition to Messi, Javier Mascherano\u2019s squad includes Luis Su\u00e1rez, Rodrigo De Paul, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba. The two Spaniards have already announced that they will retire at the end of the season, so what better way to do it than by winning a historic title?

Their playoff path hasn\u2019t been easy, though they have not lost. Among the good news is the brace from their top scorer, Brian White, who has fully recovered from injury and scored again after two months. The striker now has 18 MLS goals this season.

In the regular season, they finished second in the Western Conference with 63 points, tied with leaders San Diego, but the Californians had one more win<\/strong>\u2014the first tiebreaker. On the road, Vancouver recorded nine wins, six draws, and four losses, and they haven\u2019t been defeated away from home since August 9.

We must also highlight the impact of Thomas M\u00fcller\u2019s arrival. The 36-year-old German joined after the Club World Cup and has contributed eight goals and three assists, but beyond that, he has added invaluable experience that has helped propel the team to this stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be a tremendous final between two teams that fully deserve to be here and were among the best throughout the year. Inter Miami have proven to be a machine in these playoffs, and as long as Lionel Messi is on the field, they will always be the favorites. They should take the title.
