Why Bet on Chiefs? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is not the season the Kansas City Chiefs were expecting. After back-to-back championships and a Super Bowl appearance last year, they are now on track to finish with a losing record, currently sitting at 6\u20139 with two games remaining. <\/strong>

They are riding a four-game losing streak\u2014their longest since 2017\u2014and have dropped six of their last seven games.<\/strong> Their most recent loss came against the Tennessee Titans, who were in last place in the league at the time, falling 26\u20139.

Gardner Minshew, who was filling in for the injured Patrick Mahomes, also went down early in the game, forcing Chris Oladokun into action. <\/strong>Selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Oladokun completed the first passes of his NFL career. Last season, he appeared only twice: once on a rushing attempt that resulted in a fumble, and once when he was sacked before he could even attempt a pass.

In this game, Oladokun completed 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards, was not intercepted, but was sacked four times.<\/strong> It has since been confirmed that Minshew\u2019s injury is not as serious as initially feared, but he is still expected to miss time, meaning Oladokun would make his first NFL start. In addition, the Chiefs are expected to sign 27-year-old quarterback Shane Buechele from the Bills\u2019 practice squad, who has yet to make his NFL debut.

Bo Nix completed 28 of 47 passes for 352 yards, with one touchdown, one interception, and one sack.<\/strong> The second-year quarterback ranks second in the league in pass attempts with 551\u2014just one fewer than Dak Prescott\u2014and is also second in completions (348). He has thrown 24 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions, both relatively high totals.

Denver\u2019s touchdowns came on the ground from RJ Harvey and through the air from Courtland Sutton. The running back has now scored in four straight games, totaling five touchdowns over that span, while the wide receiver scored in the previous game and has found the end zone in three of the last four.

Defensively, Alex Singleton led the way with 13 combined tackles, bringing his season total to 124 to lead the team.<\/strong> John Franklin-Myers recorded two of the team\u2019s five sacks and now has 7.5 on the season, while Nik Bonitto has 12.5 and Jonathan Cooper has eight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chiefs have been a disaster, and on top of that, this will be Oladokun\u2019s first career start, a player who has never faced this level of pressure in several years. The Broncos are playing well and are motivated to fight for the No. 1 seed in the conference, which is why they are expected to win.
