Matchday 20 of the Premier League saw Arsenal emerge as the big winners, as they managed to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The \u2018Gunners\u2019 battled hard to earn an away victory over Bournemouth, and thanks to the draw between Manchester City and Chelsea, they now enjoy a more comfortable cushion at the summit. Aston Villa, meanwhile, defeated Nottingham Forest at home and moved into second place.

Liverpool were unable to return to winning ways after drawing with Fulham on a Sunday in which four of the six matches ended level.

The weekend will also be remembered for Wolverhampton finally claiming their first win of the season, cruising to a 3\u20130 victory over West Ham.

In an entertaining match, Aston Villa defeated Nottingham Forest 3\u20131 to climb into second place in the standings.

The hosts opened the scoring just before halftime, in the 45+1 minute, with a superb long-range strike from Ollie Watkins, who has now scored in three consecutive matches.

Early in the second half, it was John McGinn\u2019s turn, as he tapped in a cross from the right by Matty Cash in the 49th minute.

Forest made things interesting in the 61st minute when Morgan Gibbs-White chipped the ball over Emiliano \u2018Dibu\u2019 Mart\u00ednez after a perfectly weighted through pass from Dilane Bakwa.

However, a comeback was not on the cards for Forest, and the match was put to bed in the 73rd minute when McGinn capitalized on a costly mistake by goalkeeper John, who rushed out to press high up the pitch despite having defenders behind him. The Scottish midfielder received the ball from Youri Tielemans, shifted slightly to the side, and calmly finished from long range into an empty net to make it 3\u20131.

Aston Villa are now level with Manchester City in second place on 42 points, six behind leaders Arsenal.<\/strong> Nottingham Forest remain 17th with 18 points, spared for now by West Ham\u2019s poor run, as they themselves are on a four-game losing streak.

Arsenal managed to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League after defeating Bournemouth 2-3 away from home.

Despite the win, the \u2018Gunners\u2019 had to battle from behind, as it was the hosts who struck first. In the 10th minute, Gabriel Magalh\u00e3es made a mistake while attempting to clear the ball and instead gifted it to Evanilson, who tapped it into an empty net for the 1\u20130.

The defender quickly made amends for his error and leveled the match in the 16th minute, finishing inside the box after a couple of rebounds and a very good attacking move led by Noni Madueke.

In the second half, Declan Rice stepped up to give the London side both the lead and some breathing room. He first scored in the 54th minute with a shot from the edge of the area, and then struck again in the 71st minute from close to the penalty spot.

The \u2018Cherries\u2019 did not give up and pushed for a comeback, pulling one back in the 76th minute with an excellent long-range effort from Eli Junior Kroupi. However, it was not enough, and they were left empty-handed.

Arsenal now sit atop the table with 48 points, holding a six-point advantage over second place, while Bournemouth are 15th with 23 points. <\/strong>

In a dramatic match filled with late drama and last-gasp goals, Fulham and Liverpool played out a thrilling 2\u20132 draw.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Harry Wilson fired a left-footed, curling shot across goal to make it 1\u20130.

In the second half, the \u2018Reds\u2019 found the equalizer through Florian Wirtz, who now has two goals in his last three matches. The German received a pass from Conor Bradley and finished first time.

Liverpool thought they had snatched the win when Cody Gakpo scored in the 90+4 minute after a cross from the right, but Fulham had the final say. In the 90+7 minute, Harrison Reed produced a stunning long-range strike that flew into the top corner to seal the 2\u20132 final score.

Liverpool, unbeaten in nine matches, sit fourth with 34 points after back-to-back draws, while Fulham are 11th with 28 points.

Manchester City were unable to hold on to their lead against Chelsea and had to settle for a 1\u20131 draw, falling further behind at the top of the table.

It was a match with chances at both ends, but the hosts opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with a superb left-footed strike from Tijjani Reijnders.

The \u2018Blues\u2019 pushed hard for an equalizer and finally found it deep into stoppage time, at 90+4, when Enzo Fern\u00e1ndez capitalized after a couple of rebounds following a cross from the flank.
