Fulham pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the weekend by defeating Chelsea 2\u20131, with their new head coach, Liam Rosenior, watching from the stands.

The match began evenly, but it tilted in favor of the hosts in the 22nd minute after Marc Cucurella was sent off for a foul as the last man.

From that moment on, the \u2018Cottagers\u2019 started to enjoy more possession, and in the 55th minute Ra\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez put them ahead with a header.

The \u2018Blues\u2019 were desperate to stop their slide down the table and managed to equalize in the 72nd minute through Liam Delap, who capitalized on a rebound off the post from a corner kick to score his first Premier League goal for the London side and his second in the Chelsea shirt.

However, the joy was short-lived, as in the 81st minute, Harry Wilson struck a low, angled shot inside the box to restore Fulham\u2019s lead and ultimately seal the victory.

Fulham are now unbeaten in six matches, winning four of them, and sit ninth with 21 points, while Chelsea, who are winless in five games with two defeats, drop to eighth with the same number of points. <\/strong>

In a very entertaining match, Manchester City failed to close the gap at the top of the Premier League after being held to a 1\u20131 draw at home by Brighton.

It was a game in which the \u2018Citizens\u2019 created countless chances, whether through defensive mistakes or well-worked team moves, but the goalkeeper, the defense, the post, or poor finishing prevented them from extending their lead.

The only goal for City came in the 41st minute from the penalty spot, converted by Erling Haaland, who reached his 150th goal for the club in 173 appearances and remains the league\u2019s top scorer with 20.

In the second half, to the surprise of many, the \u2018Seagulls\u2019 found the equalizer through a fine move by Kaoru Mitoma, capped off with an excellent low, angled finish from just inside the edge of the box to make it 1\u20131. The Japanese winger even came close to providing an assist for a second goal, but Diego G\u00f3mez failed to finish the chance.
