Alexa Grasso<\/strong> is a Mexican MMA fighter who competes in the flyweight division of the<\/strong> UFC.<\/strong> Grasso made her professional MMA debut in December 2012 in her native country, Mexico. The first 18 months of her career were extraordinary. In those months she rose to the Octagons 5 times accumulating 100% effectiveness in her victories; 3 of her fights were by<\/strong> TKO and the other 2<\/strong> by<\/strong> decision<\/strong>. She is currently ranked number 10 in the UFC women’s flyweight rankings<\/strong>, according to records released on February 15, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexa Grasso vs Maycee Barber <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning of the fight, Grasso<\/strong> tried to make her punches decisive and precise, which did not happen due to a majority of the first round being spent glued to the fence. At the end of the first round, the American Maycee Barber<\/strong> dominated with a few strong and accurate shots that gave her some points in her favor. In the second round, Grasso<\/strong> managed to stand strong and land several powerful punches, which put Maycee Barber in a disadvantageous position, and ended the round with a series of punches and kicks with her incredible jiujitsu<\/strong>. It was a very close and exciting fight, but in the end, the judges gave the victory by unanimous decision to Alexa Grasso<\/strong> with a score of<\/strong> 29-28<\/strong>. Alexa Grasso vs Ji Yeon Kim <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fight took place at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Rakic<\/strong> \u200bwith Alexa Grasso vs<\/strong> the Korean Ji Yeon Kim<\/strong>. This was a completely favorable fight for Grasso. From the first blow to the last, it was known that she would take the victory, the question was what would it be like? Grasso was coming off a defeat against Carla Esparza<\/em><\/strong> in her last fight, so Grasso wanted to return to a path  of victory. At the end of the fight, Grasso<\/strong> had counted 71 hits to the head, 18 kicks, and 21 to the body. Although she had certain problems with the weight in this new division for her, at the time of getting into the octagon she gave an excellent performance. Alexa Grasso vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fight on June 8, 2019, at UFC 238<\/strong> featured Alexa Grasso<\/strong> and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.<\/strong> It was  a very good match with the first round largely dominated by Grasso as she delivered many blows to the Polish face causing a nose and mouth bleed. Her punishment was constant in the first round. The second round was somewhat different as Kowalkiewicz<\/strong> tightened her snatch punches, yet Grasso<\/strong> kept her at bay with her jab, straight, and kick combination<\/em><\/strong>s<\/strong>. Finally, the third and last round was decisive for Grasso<\/strong>, where due to her punches and precise kicks, Kowalkiewicz <\/strong>did not get any space to defend herself. Alexa Grasso vs Alida Gray <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining the UFC<\/strong>, Alexa Grasso<\/strong> fought for Invicta FC<\/strong>. At the start of the fight, Grasso was undefeated in her professional career with a 6-0 record. The fight corresponded to Invicta FC 10: Waterson vs. Tiburcio in December 2014<\/strong>. As the fight began, Grasso<\/strong> started by landing several right and left uppercuts and a kick to the leg. The Mexican landed a lot of combinations of punches, kicks, and elbows. It continued with Grasso on top of Gray until minute 1:47 where Grasso<\/strong> landed a great right uppercut and Alida Gray<\/strong> fell flat on the floor with a technical knockout<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
