Stephanie Gilmore <\/strong>is a world-historical surfer who was born on January 29, 1988, in Murwillumbah, Australia. Stephanie <\/strong>started surfing at age 10 on the beautiful beaches of Coolangatta<\/strong>. In 2003, at 13 years old, Stephanie won her first title in the Junior category of New South Wales,<\/strong> and the next year she won the junior national.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a very young age, Gilmore <\/strong>knew she wanted to invest her time and energy into her surfing career. At the age of 17, she was already a reserve for the Roxy Pro Gold Coast<\/strong>, and because of this, she managed to get her first victory in an international competition in 2005 when she defeated Sofia Mulanovich<\/strong>. Then, as a rookie, she began participating in the 2007 ASP World Tour,<\/strong> and to a greater surprise, that same year she won her first world title<\/strong>. Since then, Stephanie Gilmore<\/strong> has been an unstoppable surfer and undoubtedly a strong competitor in the world of surfing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephanie Gilmore\u2019s Championship Tour Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilmore <\/strong>became invincible after her professional debut. She repeated the world title in 2008, 2009, and 2010, making history in women\u2019s surfing. In these three years, she had won 3 Hawaiian Triple Crowns<\/strong>. In 2010, she signed the most expensive surf contract at that time of 5 million dollars with the recognized brand Quiksilver<\/strong>. That same year she was also named champion of the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Search and Roxy Pro<\/strong>. After excellent results and reaching records that no other surfer had achieved at such a young age, she was inducted into the surfing hall of fame, something that was unspoken of at her age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a series of injuries for 2 years, Gilmore returned in 2012 and was once again crowned as world champion. In 2013, the injuries returned, causing her to withdraw from competition for a second time. But when she was fully recovered in 2014, she won the world title, as well as the Swatch Women\u2019s Pro<\/strong>.In 2017, Gilmore<\/strong> moved to Los Angeles<\/strong>, seeking new paths in her career. She won the Roxy Pro Gold,<\/strong> and this was enough for her to win her sixth world title. In 2018 she came out on top again, and managed to win her seventh and last world title<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
