Austria will take on Ukraine in UEFA EURO 2020 Group C in Bucharest on Monday, June 21 at 11:00 E.T. Ukraine recovered from their opening loss to the Netherlands with a victory over North Macedonia in the second matchday, in which Roman Yaremchuk and Andriy Yarmolenko scored their second goals in this EURO, so a draw would be enough for the Ukrainians to be runners-up behind the Dutch, but Austria, who after their victory over North Macedonia and against the ‘Oranje’, will overtake them if they win. This duel will be played at the Arena Nationala, at 11:00 E.T., and will be broadcasted by DIRECTV Sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five interesting facts ahead of Monday’s Group C clash: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/strong>Two of the competition’s last hosts meet on the final day of Group C when Ukraine and Austria clash at the National Arena in Bucharest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. <\/strong>Both teams have three points in the group, three behind the Netherlands, which secured a first-place finish in Group C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. <\/strong>This is the third meeting between the two sides and the first official one, Ukraine took the first encounter 2-1 at the Arena Lviv on November 15, 2011, then Austria won the match 3-2 in Innsbruck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. <\/strong>Having never participated in an edition of the UEFA European Championship before co-hosting the 2012 edition with Poland, this is Ukraine’s third consecutive appearance at the finals of the tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. <\/strong>Austria’s record in the EURO finals is one win, two draws, and five defeats, with five goals, scored and ten conceded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine: <\/strong>A <\/strong>point is enough for Ukraine to be second in the group, but it is always dangerous to play for a draw, so I expect the same attacking approach from Andriy Shevchenko’s team. Viktor Tsygankov is about to recover from a calf problem, and will probably play on the left side upfront.
