Julianna Pena<\/strong>, better known as The Venezuelan Vixen<\/strong>, is a Mixed Martial art – MMA<\/strong> fighter born on August 19, 1989, in Spokane, Washington<\/strong>. Her nickname comes from her Venezuelan origins since her father is from the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According<\/strong> to the latest ranking published by the UFC<\/strong> on July 12, 2021, Julianna is ranked number 5 in the UFC<\/strong> women’s bantamweight and is number 15 in the UFC<\/strong> women’s pound-for-pound ranking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julianna<\/strong> started in the UFC at a young age, and after only 2 fights contested as an amateur, was called up to make her debut in the UFC<\/strong> in May 2009, where she won her first four fights in a row. Still, her first loss came in April 2012 against Sarah Moras<\/strong>, at Conquest of the Cage 11<\/strong>, with a technical knockout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Julianna<\/strong> has had a long career within the UFC<\/strong>, she has had difficulties due to the injuries which have kept her away from the Octagons for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Julianna Pena’s<\/strong> last victory within the octagons of the UFC<\/strong> was when she defeated Sara McMann at UFC 257<\/strong> by submission. In minute 3:39 of the third round, Pena<\/strong> managed to apply an exceptional wrench to McMann<\/strong> and, they gave him the victory thanks to a rear-naked choke<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Another of the great fights disputed by Julianna Pena<\/strong> in recent years was the one disputed on July 13, 2019, against Nicco Monta\u00f1o<\/strong>. This fight was a co-feature of the main event of UFC Fight Night: Randamie vs. Ladd<\/strong>, and it was a fight where Pena<\/strong> dominated from start to finish and, even though he failed to defeat Monta\u00f1o<\/strong> by knockout or submission, his excellent presentation gave him the victory by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          How to forget that 20-year-old girl who debuted in the UFC<\/strong> with only 2 fights disputed as an amateur and had excellent projections that made her see a future star in the world of mixed martial arts. On May 9, 2009, Julianna Pena<\/strong> stepped into the UFC<\/strong> Octagon for the first time.
