DOTA 2 – The International 10 – 2021 <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The International 10<\/strong>\u00a0is the concluding tournament <\/a>of the\u00a0Dota Pro Circuit<\/strong>\u00a0and the tenth annual edition of The International. This time, it’ll finally return to Europe for the first time since 2011.

The invite format is similar to the format used for the preceding International, whereby a point system based on official sponsored\u00a0Regional Leagues\u00a0and\u00a0Majors\u00a0will be used to determine the teams invited to The International.<\/a><\/strong>

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from August 18th to 23rd, 2020 in Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Valve delayed the event to 2021 tentatively. In consequence, Valve later announced that the event will take place from August 5th to 15th, 2021. But, due to an issue with hosting the tournament in Sweden, Valve announced the tournament will take place from October 7th to 17th in Arena Na\u021bional\u0103 in Bucharest, Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021 DOTA 2: The International 10 \u2013 Competition format & Info<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Participants<\/strong>

12 teams qualify through\u00a0Dota Pro Circuit.<\/strong>

6 teams qualify through Regional Qualifiers; One team each from North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional Qualifiers<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0June 23rd – July 10th, 2021<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • All teams that participated in season 2 of the regional league that aren\u2019t qualified to TI by finishing top 12 in\u00a0DPC rankings\u00a0are invited provided that they did not replace more than two players from their last season’s team<\/li>
  • The teams are seeded based on their\u00a0DPC\u00a0point total followed by their\u00a0standing\u00a0in the final season of the regional league.<\/li>
  • Invited teams play a Double-elimination bracket.<\/li>
  • The grand final is played in a\u00a0Bo5, All other matches are played in a\u00a0Bo3.<\/li>
  • The winner qualifies to TI.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The Group Stage:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        In the Group Stage, teams are divided into two groups of nine and compete in a best-of-two round-robin tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The top four teams (in green) advance to the upper bracket of the main event, the lower four teams (in yellow) advance to the lower brackets. Ultimately, the team in the last place (in red) is eliminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Main Event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The Main Event is a double-elimination tournament with the top four teams from each group starting in the upper bracket, whilst the bottom four teams start in the lower bracket.

        Matches in the first round of the lower bracket are best-of-one, while the grand finals are best-of-five.

        All other matches are best-of-three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        As of this moment:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        With just a little less than two weeks before the event begins, we have yet to receive information detailing which teams are assigned to either Group A or Group B.<\/strong>

        What we know, is that the Western Europe Qualifier team,\u00a0OG<\/strong>, has made its way into the competition looking to claim the crown of\u00a0“The International”\u00a0<\/strong>for the third time in a Row.
