Marina Rodriguez\u00a0<\/strong>is a Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA<\/strong>) fighter, who was born in\u00a0Bag\u00e9, in the Rio Grande do Sul province, Brazil<\/strong>, on April 29, 1989. She is one more of many excellent Brazilian MMA fighters. Currently, she competes in the\u00a0strawweight category<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0UFC<\/strong>. According to the world rankings updated on August 9, 2021,\u00a0Rodriguez<\/strong>\u00a0is #6 in her category.

Rodriguez’s <\/strong>youth was always linked to sports, so much so that she played soccer, volleyball, handball, and basketball. In the same way, she was a young studious woman who, after graduating as a graphic designer, began to practice Muay Thai<\/strong>, as a method to lose weight.

In 2015, Rodriguez <\/strong>made her debut in MMA<\/strong>, where she managed to obtain a 9-0 record. Mainly, in events played in Brazilian territory. As a consequence, in 2018, she competed in the Dana White’s Contender Series<\/a> Brazil 2<\/strong>, where she achieved victory against Maria de Oliveira Neta<\/strong>, by knockout and this opened the doors to the world of the UFC<\/strong>.

On September 22, 2018, Rodriguez<\/strong> made her UFC<\/strong> <\/a>debut at the UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Anders<\/strong>, where she got a draw against Randa Markos<\/strong>.
