Last Updated on noviembre 25, 2025 11:40 am by Erwin Noguera

Week 12 of the 2025/26 NFL season made it clear that the final stretch of the schedule is already being played with a playoff mentality. The day opened with a thrilling duel in which the Houston Texans imposed their will on the Buffalo Bills, who couldn’t stop the home team’s momentum.

The most significant events came later, with several games that completely shook up the postseason aspirations. Kansas City salvaged its season with an epic comeback against the Colts, while Dallas staged one of the most stunning comebacks of the year, leaving the Eagles, who seemed to be in complete control, breathless. Meanwhile, Baltimore took advantage of Pittsburgh’s stumble to climb in the AFC North, and Cleveland added to the surprises with a win that marked the debut of rookie Shedeur Sanders.

Each result had direct repercussions on the divisional races and the wild-card picture. With only a handful of weeks remaining, the margins are narrowing, and each series becomes a decisive test to determine who will make it to January alive.

NFL Week 12 Roundup: Chiefs vs. Colts

Kansas City staged one of the most exciting victories of the week after defeating the Colts 23-20 in overtime, despite the Colts dominating much of the game. Indianapolis took control early, capitalizing on an interception by Mahomes, and extended its lead to 20-9 in the third quarter, thanks to two passing touchdowns and a defense that seemed to have an answer for everything.

The Chiefs, however, found life in the fourth quarter. A rushing touchdown by Kareem Hunt, followed by a two-point conversion, opened the door for the comeback. With the clock running down, Kansas City tied the game with a field goal with seconds left, forcing overtime. In overtime, they maintained their momentum and sealed the game with another field goal, completing a comeback that could be a turning point in their season.

Green Bay controlled a key divisional matchup from start to finish, defeating Minnesota 23-6, led by a dominant defense and an outstanding performance by running back Emanuel Wilson. His first touchdown came after a sustained 70-yard drive, and from there, the Packers cemented their victory with constant pressure on J.J. McCarthy.

The Minnesota quarterback never got settled: he threw two interceptions and was sacked five times, stifling any attempt at a comeback. Even when the Vikings reached the red zone, the home defense held on fourth down. To cap off the night, Green Bay’s special teams recovered a fumble that set up Wilson’s second touchdown, sealing a crucial win for the home team.

Result: Packers 23–6 Vikings

NFL Week 12 Roundup: Cowboys vs Eagles

The most anticipated matchup of Week 12 did not disappoint. Philadelphia started strong and looked headed for its fifth consecutive victory. With Jalen Hurts leading the offense, the Eagles took the lead with two touchdowns (one passing and one rushing) to dominate the first half and keep Dallas on the ropes.

But everything changed in the second half. Dallas woke up with a touchdown by Pickens after a great return by Turpin, marking the beginning of a gradual comeback. Dak Prescott took control, connecting on two touchdown passes to tie the score at 21-21. The Cowboys’ defense adjusted at crucial moments, forcing three scoreless drives for the Eagles. Finally, Brandon Aubrey kicked the game-winning field goal to complete a spectacular comeback in Arlington.

Result: Cowboys 24–21 Eagles

NFL Week 12 Roundup: Rams vs. Buccaneers

The Rams continued to show why they are one of the strongest teams of the year, crushing Tampa Bay 34-7 and extending their winning streak to six. From the start, Los Angeles set a devastating pace: a short pass from Stafford to Davante Adams opened the scoring, followed by a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown and another score from Parkinson that left the game virtually decided before halftime.

Stafford put in a performance that puts him back in the MVP conversation, passing for over 270 yards and throwing three touchdowns. Puka Nacua shone again with nearly 100 receiving yards, while Adams completed two touchdowns on a flawless night for the offense. Tampa Bay was not only outscored but also lost Baker Mayfield to a shoulder injury, forcing Bridgewater to finish a game that was already decided.

Result: Rams 34–7 Buccaneers
