Week 13 of the NFL brought plenty of surprises, with only nine betting favorites winning across the 16 games, highlighted by the matchups on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

The biggest surprises came on those days, in the first four games, with the Packers, Bengals, and Bears winning on the road against the Lions, Ravens, and Bears. In addition, the Cowboys held strong at home and defeated the Chiefs. No one was a favorite.

Teams like the Jets and Panthers also surprised by beating the Falcons and Rams, respectively, while the Patriots continued their great season and crushed the Giants 33–15.

Semana 13 de la NFL: Lions de Detroit contra Packers de Green Bay

Thanksgiving Day started joyfully for the Green Bay Packers, who earned a key, and potentially decisive, 24–31 win over the Detroit Lions.

The Packers were ahead on the scoreboard throughout the game thanks to a fantastic performance by Jordan Love, who completed 18 of 30 passes for 234 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions, and no sacks.Love hadn’t thrown four touchdown passes since October 13, 2024, and this is the third time he has achieved it in his career.

Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks scored two touchdowns—his first two of the season—while Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson recorded the other two.

Defensively, Micah Parsons had 2.5 sacks, bringing his season total to 12.5 and placing him third in the league in that category.

On the other side, the Lions missed a golden opportunity to secure a playoff position. Jared Goff completed 20 of 26 passes for 256 yards and threw two touchdown passes, scored by Jameson Williams and rookie Isaac TeSlaa. David Montgomery added another touchdown on the ground.

The bad news for the home team was the early injury to Amon-Ra St. Brown, the team’s top scorer, which was undoubtedly a major blow.

The Bears now lead the NFC North with a 9–3 record, the Packers are second at 8–3–1, while the Lions sit third at 7–5. In the conference standings, the Packers are sixth, while the Lions have fallen to eighth.

Result: Detroit Lions 24-31 Green Bay Packers

Semana 13 de la NFL: Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals

The AFC North tightened significantly heading into the final stretch of the season after the Cincinnati Bengals delivered a major blow, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 14–32 on the road.

The star of the night was kicker Evan McPherson, who made six field goals and two extra points for a total of 20 of the team’s 32 points. The Bengals’ only two touchdowns came in the third quarter, on receptions by Tanner Hudson and Andrei Iosivas.

It was a good night for Joe Burrow, who completed 24 of 46 passes for 261 yards, two touchdown passes, no interceptions, and just one sack.

The same cannot be said for Lamar Jackson, who failed to score either through the air or on the ground. He completed 17 of 32 passes for 246 yards, was intercepted once by rookie Demetrius Knight Jr., and was sacked three times—twice by Joseph Ossai. This marks the fourth consecutive game in which the quarterback has posted a completion percentage below 60%.

Baltimore’s touchdowns came on runs by Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell. Henry has six touchdowns in his last six games and now has 10 on the season.

Now in the AFC North, the Ravens and Steelers both stand at 6–6, while the Bengals are 4–8 and the Browns remain alive at 3–9.

Result: Baltimore Ravens 14-32 Cincinnati Bengals

Semana 13 de la NFL: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears

Black Friday brought us a big surprise, with the Chicago Bears winning on the road against the defending NFL champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.

It was not a good game for the Eagles. On the ground, everything came from Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, who combined for just 17 carries and 87 yards. Through the air, the main target was A.J. Brown, who had 10 receptions and scored both touchdowns, both in the second half.

Hurts completed 19 of 34 passes for 230 yards and was intercepted for the first time since October 9, and only the second time this season.

Interestingly, this season the Eagles won their first four games, then lost two in a row—with Hurts being intercepted in that second loss. Then they won four again, lost two in a row again—and Hurts was intercepted again in that second game.

As for the Bears, they picked up a victory to remain at the top of their tight division. Caleb Williams did not have his best day, completing only 17 of 36 passes for 154 yards, one touchdown pass, one interception, and two sacks.

Tight end Cole Kmet scored the receiving touchdown, while on the ground, D’Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai carried the load, scoring the other two. Monangai already has five touchdowns this season. The two combined for 40 rushing attempts and 255 yards, each of them finishing with better rushing numbers than the entire Philadelphia team.

Now the Bears have dethroned the Eagles and lead the NFC with a 9–3 record, while maintaining their edge over the Packers (8–3–1) in the division. Philadelphia dropped to third in the NFC at 8–4, with the Cowboys (6–5–1) closing in on the East.

Result: Philadelphia Eagles 15-24 Chicago Bears

Semana 13 de la NFL: Colts de Indianápolis contra Texans de Houston

In one of the AFC South matchups, the Houston Texans delivered a big blow, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 16–20 on the road.

Each team scored two touchdowns, both through the air for the Colts, while the Texans chose to attack on the ground. The difference came from Michael Badgley missing an extra point and Ka’imi Fairbairn having one more field-goal opportunity.

C.J. Stroud completed 22 of 35 passes for 276 yards, one interception, and one sack. The Texans’ touchdowns were scored by running back Nick Chubb in the second quarter and wide receiver Nico Collins in the fourth. It was the first rushing touchdown of Collins’ career.

For Indy, Daniel Jones completed 14 of 27 passes for 201 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and just one sack.

Wide receiver Alec Pierce and rookie tight end Tyler Warren scored the touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor had 21 carries for 85 yards, but for the second straight game—and the third in his last four—he was unable to score. The running back leads the NFL in touchdowns (15), rushing yards (1,282), and is third in attempts (226). He also has the longest run of the season (83 yards), but this time, none of those numbers made a difference.

The Colts (8–4) lost the lead in the division, which now belongs to the Jaguars (8–4), but they sit sixth in the conference. The Texans, meanwhile, are now 7–5, fighting for the division and sitting eighth in the AFC.

Result: Indianapolis Colts 16- 20 Houston Texans
