We’ve reached the end of the NFL preseason, and now we get ready for the start of the regular season in just a few days. It was three weeks of action, where fans got a glimpse of their teams and some rising stars.

For the Washington Commanders, it was a disappointing farewell, as they were crushed at home by the Baltimore Ravens 30-3, closing the preseason with three straight losses.

Another team that bowed out with their heads down at home was the Cincinnati Bengals, who were humiliated by the Indianapolis Colts 41-14.

On the positive side, the New York Giants left a strong impression and gave their fans plenty of hope. They won all three of their games, scoring more than 30 points in each, including a 42-10 blowout against the New England Patriots this past weekend. The Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos also finished the preseason undefeated, winning all their games.

Semana 3 de pretemporada de la NFL: Carolina Panthers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Panthers +130 Steelers -167

The Carolina Panthers, one of the worst teams in the NFL, also had a poor preseason, losing all three games, with the last one coming at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 10-19.

The game began favorably for the Panthers with a first-quarter field goal by Ryan Fitzgerald. In the second quarter, each team scored a touchdown, and the Steelers added a field goal, leaving things even at halftime. However, Carolina failed to score again, while Pittsburgh converted three more field goals to turn the score around and secure the win.

As we can see, it wasn’t a game full of touchdowns, but Skylar Thompson managed to stand out, completing 11 of 13 passes for 152 yards and throwing a touchdown pass to Lance McCutcheon. The wide receiver, who arrived from the New York Jets, scored his first touchdown since 2022 and the second of his NFL career, though both have come in preseason play.

On the Panthers’ side, it was a rather discreet performance from their quarterbacks. Jack Plummer completed 50% of his passes, going 7-for-14 with 48 yards and one touchdown. Bryce Perkins was more accurate, completing 10 of 11 passes, but for only 71 yards.

Semana 3 de pretemporada de la NFL: Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons

Cowboys +125 Falcons -164

In a matchup between winless preseason teams, the Dallas Cowboys finally celebrated their first and only victory, defeating the Atlanta Falcons 31-13.

With four touchdowns—three of them on the ground—the Cowboys gave their fans something to cheer about after four straight losses, counting the last two of the regular season and the two preseason defeats this year. In both of those games, they had allowed 31 points, but this time, they were the ones to score 31.

Joe Milton completed 10 of 18 passes for 132 yards, including a touchdown caught by Jalen Brooks. On the ground, a pair of fresh faces from the NCAA scored their first points: Jaydon Blue (Texas Longhorns) and Phil Mafah (Clemson Tigers). Milton also added a rushing touchdown himself.

On the Falcons’ side, the woes continue, with three straight losses this preseason, extending their skid to five overall.

It was still a solid outing for Easton Stick despite throwing one interception. The quarterback completed 20 of 28 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown to Feleipe Franks, while also picking up 18 yards on three rushing attempts.

Semana 3 de pretemporada de la NFL: Cleveland Browns vs. Los Angeles Rams

Browns -142Rams +118

The Cleveland Browns wrapped up the preseason with smiles on their faces after defeating the Los Angeles Rams 19-17, finishing with a perfect record of victories.

The game was thrilling, with the Browns leading for most of it. However, with just two minutes left, the Rams managed to take the lead by one point. But on the final play of the game, a field goal by Andre Szmyt sealed Cleveland’s 19-17 win.

For the home side, quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Joe Flacco both stood out. Neither was intercepted, and each threw a touchdown. Gabriel finished with 12 completions on 19 attempts for 129 yards, while Flacco went 9-for-10 for 71 yards. Rookie wideouts Gage Larvadain (South Carolina Gamecocks) and Harold Fannin (Bowling Green Falcons) were the ones who found the end zone.

On the Rams’ side, Dresser Winn played the entire game, completing 15 of 23 passes for 190 yards and one touchdown, his first in the NFL since arriving in 2023 from Tennessee-Martin. Second-year receiver Drake Stoops scored through the air, while rookie Jordan Waters added a rushing touchdown—the first career score for both.

Semana 3 de pretemporada de la NFL: Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Packers -145 Seahawks +122

The Green Bay Packers repeated their first two quarters to defeat the Seahawks 20-7, handing Seattle its first loss of this preseason.

A touchdown, the extra point, and a field goal—in that order. That’s how it went in the first quarter and then again in the second, sending Green Bay into halftime with a 20-0 lead. Malik Willis threw six passes, three of which were completed, one was intercepted, but he still managed 50 yards and a touchdown.

Mientras tanto, Canadian quarterback Taylor Elgersma, coming from Canadian college football, completed six of eight passes for 33 yards and recorded his first NFL touchdown. Sean Clifford had the most attempts, completing 6 of 9, though for just 19 yards.

The touchdowns went to Romeo Doubs and rookie wide receiver Will Sheppard (Colorado Buffaloes), who only had one catch for three yards, but it was enough to score his first NFL points.

As for the Seahawks, Jalen Milroe played the whole game, completing 13 of 24 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown, which went to Cody White in the fourth quarter. That was all Seattle could muster.
