Milan couldn’t hold on to the top spot after being stunned at home by Pisa, who were sitting in last place and nearly left San Siro with the win.

Despite that, everything started well for the ‘Rossoneri’, who took the lead just seven minutes in and looked set for an easy victory. Rafael Leão sent in a shot-cross toward goal that slipped through several legs and went in, with a bit of help from the goalkeeper.

The equalizer came around the hour mark with a penalty from veteran Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, scoring his first goal since April 4, 2023, back when he was with Juventus.

In the 86th minute, the visitors shocked everyone when a long pass from Ebenezer Akinsanmiro found M’Bala Nzola all alone, and the striker finished under goalkeeper Mike Maignan to make it 1-2.

And just when it looked like Pisa would claim their first win of the season, 20-year-old Swiss defender Zachary Athekame appeared in the 90+3 minute to score his first goal in Italy with a long-range right-footed strike—one that the keeper could have done better on once again.

Milan has now dropped to third place with 17 points, one behind the leaders, while Pisa sits 19thwith four points, still one of four teams yet to win this season.

Result: Milan 2-2 Pisa

Jornada 8 de la Serie A: Napoli vs Inter

Napoli regained the lead in Serie A after defeating Inter 3-1, despite Kevin De Bruyne’s injury before the end of the first half.

However, the Belgian midfielder managed to put his team ahead in the 33rd minute with a penalty after a foul on Giovanni Di Lorenzo. De Bruyne took the shot but immediately felt pain in the back of his leg and asked to be substituted.

In the second half, a long through ball from Leonardo Spinazzola sent Scott McTominay running clear, and the Scotsman let the ball bounce before firing a powerful cross shot from the edge of the box to make it 2-0.

The visitors got one back a few minutes later with a penalty taken by Hakan Calhanoglu, a fair reward given how many chances they had created.

But the hope of a comeback didn’t last long, as in the 66th minute Frank Anguissa drove forward with the ball, pulled off a fine individual move inside the box, and finished with a left-footed strike across goal to seal a beautiful 3-1 win.

Napoli now sit at the top with 18 points, three ahead of Inter, who dropped to fourth place.

Result: Napoli 3-1 Inter

A lone goal from Paulo Dybala gave Roma a 0-1 away win over Sassuolo, helping them draw level on points with the league leaders.

In the 16th minute, the Argentine forward pounced on a rebound after a shot from Bryan Cristante and fired first-time to score his first Serie A goal since February 9.

The ‘Giallorossi’ had more chances to extend their lead but couldn’t convert. They secured a win that puts them on 18 points—tied with Napoli but with an inferior goal difference. Sassuolo, meanwhile, sits 13th with 10 points.

Serie A Jornada 7: Fiorentina vs. Bologna

Fiorentina managed to rescue a point at home against Bologna after a 2-2 draw with two penalties, but remains in the relegation zone.

The visitors were chasing a win that would bring them closer to the top and came very close. In the 25th minute, Argentine forward Santiago Castro struck a volley inside the box that flew into the top corner—unstoppable for David De Gea, who stood frozen.

At 52 minutes, Nicolo Cambiaghi redirected a cross from Emil Holm to make it 0-2 for the visitors, who were dreaming of victory. They even had another goal disallowed in the 66th minute for a narrow offside.

However, in the 73rd minute, a handball by Lewis Ferguson resulted in a penalty that Albert Gudmundsson converted to make it 1-2. Then, in the 83rd, Holm was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, and in the 90+4 minute, following a VAR review, Fiorentina were awarded another penalty—this time for a handball by Federico Bernardeschi.

Moise Kean stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to level the score. And in the final play, at 90+9, Dodô had the chance to complete a historic comeback but missed wide with the goal wide open after a rebound.

The ‘Viola’ remain winless and sit 18th with four points, while Bologna are fifth with 14.

Result:Fiorentina 2-2 Bologna
