Junior middleweight Anthony Fowler is scheduled to return Saturday on Matchroom’s Fight Camp on DAZN, but he’ll have a new opponent on short notice. Roberto Garcia is out with a back injury, so Rico Mueller (28-3-1, 19 KO) will face Fowler in a 10-round fight with a WBA regional title on the line. The latter part is essential mainly because it helps in the WBA rankings, and Fowler (14-1, 11 KO) hopes to target a world title shot sooner rather than later. Mueller, 33, just fought on July 10, stopping a journeyman opponent in three rounds in Germany. He has been a pro at the European level and has fought chiefly at lower weights, losing Jeff Horn at 147 in 2016 and Jeremiah Ponce at 140 in 2019.
