Later, Colombian Harold Preciado received a filtered pass into the area and made it 2-2 for Santos with a lofted touch before the goalkeeper came out. This was after Henry Martín (13) and Jonathan Rodríguez (19) managed to turn the score around in favor of the locals.

Before the break, at 45+6, Quiñones made it 3-2 for América with a penalty that he placed in the lower left corner to overcome goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo’s shot. Carlos Salcedo is not going through his best moment with Cruz Azul after the defender collaborated, again, with a goal against his team in the match against Tigres, so the Celeste fans did not hesitate to baptize him with a new nickname.

The ‘Maquina Cementera’ had the lead on the scoreboard until the 60th minute; However, a poor delayed pass by Carlos Salcedo toward Willer Ditta led to André-Pierre Gignac’s goal just a few moments later for the partial tie on the scoreboard.

With this, Tigres broke a streak of almost 10 years of not beating Cruz Azul, after coming back 2-1, thanks to goals from André-Pierre Gignac and Rafael Carioca, the latter in dramatic fashion.

With this result, those led by Robert Dante Siboldi reached 25 points and are in second place, while Joaquín Moreno’s men are in 17th place, with 11 units, far from the fight for the Liguilla.

The Rayados de Monterrey managed to blow away the undefeated Pumas UNAM at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario. This was after the felines lost 0-1 thanks to the last-minute goal by Mexican Arturo González. Although the first half lacked goals, it was full of emotion and drama.

This was due to the unfortunate injuries of Erick Aguirre and Jordi Cortizo by Rayados, as well as a strong impact received by the captain of Pumas: Adrián Aldrete.

At minute 11, Erick Aguirre had to be replaced by the Chilean Sebastián Vegas. The Mexican was injured when he fell badly after a destabilizing play orchestrated by César Huerta.

‘El Chino’ was also involved in Cortizo’s injury. Just six minutes later, after a series of split balls, Jordi Cortizo fell off the field with a worrying blow to his left shoulder. After the review by the medical team, the Monterrey striker was replaced by Uruguayan striker Rodrigo Aguirre. It is estimated that Cortizo could have a sprained collarbone.

Finally, the goal was scored at minute 90’+3 thanks to an excellent play by Luis Romo, who assisted Ponchito González. The Mexican midfielder struck down Julio González’s goal with a powerful shot to make it 1-0.

Atlético San Luis asserted itself at home and beat Necaxa 4-0, which surprisingly sabotaged itself by committing two own goals and being left with one less man on the field after the expulsion of Ricardo Monreal.

With his experience in the aerial game, Unai Bilbao opened the scoring before the first 10 minutes of play and just after half an hour, Léo Bonatini accompanied him with the second of the afternoon, which was on the verge of being annulled for a non-existent outside.

Although the results were not yet so bulky, the expulsion of Monreal due to complaints was an important factor in increasing the vulnerability and imbalance of the ‘Rayos’, as at 47′ Alexis Peña committed the first own goal in his attempt to take out a cross that was going straight to the goal.

The result was already in the bag for the Potosinos, but the icing on the cake was Necaxa’s second own goal, this time scored by Arath Moreno, a youth player who had just a few minutes on the pitch for his first division debut.
