Chegamos à última rodada da fase classificatória da Liga MX. Dez equipes já conquistaram suas vagas na fase eliminatória, mas outros 6 clubes ainda brigam pelas duas posições restantes. Santos (11º) e Pumas (12º) precisam vencer seus jogos para garantir a classificação. Apenas Necaxa e Mazatlán (penúltimo e último colocado) não têm chances matemáticas de passar de fase.
Depois de vencer o Mazatlán fora de casa, e ver o América (2º) empatar com o Pumas, O Monterrey confirmou a primeira colocação na Liga MX, aumentando para 6 pontos a distância sobre o rival.
