FC Dallas remains in the fight to reach the playoffs in the Western Conference after defeating LA Galaxy 2-1, with the defending champions now very close to finishing as the worst team in the entire league.

The Galaxy, last season’s MLS champions, took an early lead with a great strike from Diego Fagúndez from the edge of the box.

However, the hosts managed to turn things around before the end of the first half. First, it was Peter Musa in the 35th minute with a shot from inside the six-yard box, and then Patrickson Delgado in the 45+3rd minute with a beautiful curling effort from outside the area.

Com este resultado, FC Dallas sit eighth in the West with 41 points and a game in hand, meaning that catching up with a win would secure their playoff spot and put them in contention for a direct berth. As for the Galaxy, they are at the bottom of the entire league with just 24 points.

Result: Dallas 2-1 LA Galaxy

MLS - 34ª rodada: Houston Dynamo vs. San Diego FC

Houston Dynamo suffered a tough blow, losing 2-4 to San Diego FC in the final minutes and getting eliminated with one week left in the regular season.

The home side opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Felipe Andrada, who finished from the edge of the six-yard box.

In the second half, Anders Dreyer, one of the standout players of the year, equalized from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute, while Luca De La Torre turned the game around in the 85th with a powerful shot into the top center of the goal from inside the box.

Sergio Santos reignited Dynamo’s hopes in the 87th minute with a low, angled shot to make it 2-2, but Dreyer snatched them away just two minutes later with an easy tap-in.

With the game already decided, in the final play at 90+13, Amahl Pellegrino delivered the final blow with a subtle finish across the goal to seal the 2-4 result—a defeat that not only eliminated Houston but also made San Diego FC the debutant team with the most points (60) in MLS history.

Right now, the Californians sit first in the West, though the Vancouver Whitecaps have the same number of points and one game in hand.

Result: Houston Dynamo 2-4 San Diego FC

MLS - 34ª rodada: Salt Lake vs. Colorado

Real Salt Lake earned a crucial victory by defeating Colorado Rapids 1-0 with a lone goal from Diogo Gonçalves.

The Portuguese midfielder scored in the 39th minute with a strike into the top corner from the edge of the box after a cutback from Rwan Cruz. It was a great goal and one that meant a lot, as Salt Lake moved up to ninth place, currently qualifying for the Play-In and knocking Colorado down to tenth.

Both teams have 40 points, but the ‘Royals’ have 12 wins compared to their rival’s 11, which is the first tiebreaker. In addition, Pablo Mastroeni’s side has one game in hand.

Result: Salt Lake 1-0 Colorado

MLS - 34ª rodada: Vancouver vs. San Jose

One of the teams left on the brink is the San Jose Earthquakes, who were crushed in Canada by the Vancouver Whitecaps in a 4-1 defeat.

The Whitecaps, who had won the Canadian Championship earlier in the week, took the lead in the 39th minute with a first-time finish from Rayan Elloumi after a cross from Sebastian Berhalter.

In the second half, German forward Thomas Müller made it 2-0 with a low strike from the edge of the box, while Berhalter scored a stunning long-range golazo into the top corner in the 74th minute.

The Earthquakes pulled one back in the 89th minute with a fine strike from Beau Leroux from outside the area, but Berhalter appeared again with another long-range effort to seal the 4-1 final.

The Canadians are second in the West with the same number of points as first-place San Diego FC but with a game in hand, so they will be aiming to finish as conference champions.

As for San Jose, they sit 11th with 38 points and need to win their final match while hoping that two of the following three things happen: Dallas loses both games, Salt Lake loses both, and Colorado loses their match.

Result: Vancouver 4-1 San Jose
