O duelo foi marcado por resultados distintos na estreia: a Cro\u00e1cia foi derrotada pela Inglaterra em Londres, enquanto a Rep\u00fablica Tcheca superou a Esc\u00f3cia e terminou em primeiro lugar no grupo. Os tchecos, em especial Patrik Schick, autor de dois gols, ficar\u00e3o felizes em retornar ao Hampden Park, palco de sua primeira vit\u00f3ria, sabendo que um segundo triunfo em Glasgow garantiria a vaga nas oitavas de final.
