Week 7 of the NFL combined drama, history, and memorable performances. It all started on Thursday with a duel between veterans: Aaron Rodgers of the Steelers against Joe Flacco of the Bengals. Both showed grit and experience, but Cincinnati took the victory thanks to a 36-yard field goal by Evan McPherson with just seven seconds left on the clock.
On Sunday, the action crossed the Atlantic with the Rams’ victory over the Jaguars in London, led by a brilliant Matthew Stafford, who threw five touchdown passes.
In the United States, rookie Drake Maye guided the Patriots to their fourth consecutive victory over the Titans, while the Chiefs posted a 31-0 shutout over the Raiders in Rashee Rice’s return.
In the afternoon, the Colts dominated the Chargers, and the Cowboys overwhelmed the Commanders with an unstoppable offense. The big show came in Denver, where the Broncos rallied with 33 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Giants. The day ended with the 49ers winning over the Falcons, led by a brilliant Christian McCaffrey, who was the star of the show despite the absence of Fred Warner.

Resumo da Semana 7 da NFL: Vikings vs. Eagles
After two consecutive losses, the Philadelphia Eagles got back on track with a narrow victory (28-22) in their visit to the Minnesota Vikings. Jalen Hurts was the star of the game, throwing three touchdown passes and accumulating 326 passing yards, setting aside his usual mobility to rely fully on his accuracy from the pocket. Although he barely gained any yards on the ground, his arm was enough to get Philadelphia back on the winning track.
The offensive duo of DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown was key. Smith totaled 183 yards and one touchdown, while Brown shone with 121 yards and two touchdowns, including the first of the game with a 37-yard reception. The Vikings responded with a 59-yard field goal by Will Reichard and an interception returned to the end zone by Jalyx Hunt, but their defense was unable to contain Hurts’ deep connections.
Although Jordan Mason kept Minnesota’s hopes alive with a short touchdown run, the Eagles secured the lead with another pass from Hurts to Brown, this time for 26 yards. Despite the home team’s last-ditch field goal attempt, time ran out. With this victory, Philadelphia ends its losing streak and remains firmly in the fight for the NFC East lead.
Result: Vikings 22–28 Eagles
Resumo da Semana 7 da NFL: Chefes vs. Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs proved that the champions are back after crushing the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0, handing them one of the most decisive beatings of the season. After a shaky start with two losses, Andy Reid’s team has won four of its last five games, showing a balance between offense and defense reminiscent of its most dominant form.
The defense was impenetrable, allowing Las Vegas only 96 total yards and three first downs throughout the game. For his part, Patrick Mahomes once again led with mastery, throwing for 286 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Rashee Rice, who returned in great form after his suspension. Hollywood Brown joined the party with an eight-yard touchdown reception, while Isiah Pacheco extended the lead with a seven-yard carry in the third quarter.
The Chiefs dominated the game, with 30 first downs to the Raiders’ three and more than 42 minutes of possession. Kansas City not only won on the scoreboard, but also sent a strong message to the rest of the AFC: their dynasty is far from over.
Result: Chiefs 31–0 Raiders
Resumo da Semana 7 da NFL: Cardinals vs. Packers
The matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers featured one of the most exciting comebacks of the week. The Cardinals started strong, controlling the first half with a 13-6 lead, but the Packers showed grit and character to turn the score around in the final stretch.
During the first three quarters, Arizona showed order and efficiency. However, its defense began to crumble under constant pressure from the offense led by Jordan Love, who directed two crucial offensive series in the fourth quarter. In those minutes, the Packers scored two consecutive touchdowns that completely turned the game around, leaving the home team with no answer.
With this victory, Green Bay remains at the top of its division with a 4-1-1 record, consolidating its candidacy in the NFC North. The Cardinals, on the other hand, fall to the bottom of the West with a worrying 2-5 record, showing that they are still far from finding stability on both offense and defense. It was a thrilling close to Week 7, which had it all: records, shutouts, comebacks, and a clear message that the road to the playoffs is beginning to take shape.
Result: Cardinals 23–27 Packers
Resumo da Semana 7 da NFL: Lions vs Buccaneers
The Detroit Lions dispelled any doubts left over from the previous week’s game against the Chiefs by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-9, consolidating their position as one of the strongest teams in the NFC. Playing at home and with a balanced offense, they showed that their offensive potential can hurt both through the air and on the ground.
Running back Jahmyr Gibbs was the star of the game with a stellar night: he racked up 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 82 receiving yards. His performance was instrumental in dominating a Tampa Bay defense that never managed to contain him. Jared Goff also played an important role, throwing for 241 yards and a touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who continues to stand out as one of the most consistent receivers in the league.
Detroit’s defense also had an outstanding performance, completely shutting down Baker Mayfield, who suffered four sacks and an interception. Although the Buccaneers tried to rally in the final stretch, their lack of effectiveness at key moments doomed them. With this win, the Lions improved their record to 5-2 and are now serious contenders for the postseason, while Tampa Bay remained with the same record but with more doubts than certainties.
Result: Lions 24–9 Buccaneers
