Salahdine Parnasse opened at -357. He is now around -550, and at some books closer to -600.

That is a UFC debutant priced at roughly an 85% chance of beating a top-fifteen lightweight. Six days ago in Shanghai, Umar Nurmagomedov went into a main event at -450 (a longer price than Parnasse opened at) and was knocked out in the second round.

The UFC’s own preview names the trap directly: fights like this lead to “folks typically underrating the battle-tested veteran and elevating their expectations for the debutant.”

ufcHere is the full breakdown.

UFC Fight Night: Dan Hooker vs. Salahdine Parnasse

Why Bet on Salahdine Parnasse?

This is not an ordinary debut. Parnasse was a two-division KSW champion, and his only contemporary setback came attempting to win a title in a third weight class. The 28-year-old from Aubervilliers arrives at 23-2 with 15 finishes, and he has been described for years as one of the best fighters competing outside the UFC.

He is also walking into an opponent in decline. Hooker has lost consecutively to Arman Tsarukyan and Benoît Saint Denis and was finished in both. Those are not narrow decisions; they are stoppages, and they came in the last twelve months.

Por que apostar em Dan Hooker?

“The Hangman” has been a fixture in the lightweight rankings for nearly a decade and enters his fourth UFC main event. That experience is the entire counter-argument, and it is not a small one. The UFC lightweight division is the deepest in the sport, and outside champions with enormous reputations have a long history of finding the step up steeper than the hype allowed.

Hooker’s striking is genuinely elite, and he has shared the Octagon with the division’s best for years. Parnasse’s 23-2 record is real. None of it was built at this level, and he has never fought five rounds against a UFC-calibre lightweight because he has never fought in the UFC at all.

Final Betting Analysis: Dan Hooker vs. Salahdine Parnasse

The stylistic case for Parnasse is sound, and the two finishes on Hooker’s recent record are impossible to argue away.

The price is a separate question. Parnasse opened at -357 and has been bet to roughly -550, which asks you to believe a debutant beats a ranked lightweight around 85% of the time. Applied to Nurmagomedov last weekend, that reasoning produced a second-round knockout in the other direction.

FREE PICK: Hooker +275 or better, small stake. We think Parnasse probably wins. We do not think he wins 85% of the time, and a top-fifteen lightweight at plus money against a debutant is the best value on the card.

UFC Fight Night: Fares Ziam vs. Axel Sola

Por que apostar na Fares Ziam?

Ziam entered 2026 on a six-fight winning streak, capped by a stoppage win over Nazim Sadykhov, before Tom Nolan halted the run in June.

The detail that matters most: “Smile Killer” is 2-0 in Paris, and his last appearance here produced a brilliant knockout of Matt Frevola. He is competing at home for the first time in three years.

Why Bet on Axel Sola?

Three fights into his UFC run, and already a person of interest at 155. He followed a back-and-forth brawl with Mason Jones in March with a first-round submission of Ismael Bonfim em julho.

That submission is the case. Ziam’s record is decision-heavy; Sola has shown he can end a fight in a single round from either a scramble or an exchange. At +153, that finishing threat is priced generously.

Final Betting Analysis: Fares Ziam vs. Axel Sola

Two French lightweights in Paris, which cancels the crowd entirely. A useful showcase of how often home advantage neutralises itself.

Ziam is the more proven fighter with the better Paris record. Sola is the one more likely to end it early, and he is taking the biggest step up of his career.

FREE PICK: Ziam -175. The one favourite we are happy to back at a short price. Two wins in this building, elite recent form, and an opponent still three fights into his UFC career.

UFC Fight Night: Michael “Venom” Page vs. Nursulton Ruziboev

Por que apostar na Michael Page?

Page returns to middleweight on a three-fight winning streak, with wins over Shara “Bullet” Magomedov and Jared Cannonier among his first five starts in the division, before dropping to welterweight in March to edge Sam Patterson in London.

At 39, he remains one of the most distinctive strikers in the sport; elusive, rangy, and exceptionally good at not being where the power is.

Por que apostar em Nursulton Ruziboev?

“Black” opened his UFC tenure with stoppage wins over Brunno Ferreira and Sedriques Dumas, lost a decision to Joaquin Buckley during a detour to welterweight, and has since posted three more wins at 185, including a technical submission of Andrey Pulyaev in June.

No +145, you are getting a fighter on a three-fight run of his own, with a grappling dimension Page’s style has always been least comfortable against.

Final Betting Analysis: Michael Page vs. Nursulton Ruziboev

A near pick’em priced by reputation. Whoever leaves with a fourth straight win should get a ranked opponent next.

Page wins if it stays at range. Ruziboev wins if he closes distance and makes it a grappling contest, and at 39, Page’s margin for being taken down has narrowed.

FREE PICK: Ruziboev +145. Plus money on the younger fighter with the clearer path to victory in a fight the market rates as almost even.

UFC Fight Night: Daniil Donchenko vs. Punahele Soriano

Por que apostar em Daniil Donchenko?

O Ultimate Fighter winner has been excellent. He earned his contract with a bloody win over Rodrigo Sezinando at last year’s Noche UFC and has since beaten Alex Moreno and Theodor Berggren.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian is genuinely all-action, leads with elbows and inflicts serious damage. The market has him at -300 on that momentum.

Por que apostar em Punahele Soriano?

Four straight wins since moving down to welterweight, most recently a hard-fought decision over Ramiz Brahimaj in February. The Xtreme Couture product brings a good chin, excellent power, and quality grappling he can lean on if the striking exchange goes badly.

And here is the specific vulnerability: Donchenko’s willingness to stand in the pocket means he occasionally puts himself in harm’s way. That is a manageable habit against most welterweights. Against a man with Soriano’s power and a chin that has held up, it is the way this fight gets lost.

Final Betting Analysis: Daniil Donchenko vs. Punahele Soriano

The most underrated fight on the card, and both men are on serious runs: four straight for Soriano, three for Donchenko.

A -300 favourite whose defining trait is a willingness to trade, against an opponent with one-punch power and four consecutive wins, is a price built on momentum rather than a skill gap.

FREE PICK: Soriano +245. Genuine value. The favourite fights in exactly the range where the underdog is most dangerous.

UFC Fight Night: Morgan Charriere vs. Felipe Lima

Por que apostar em Morgan Charriere?

Paris has produced the best results of Charriere’s UFC career. “The Last Pirate” has two stoppage wins in two appearances at the Accor Arena, and he returns here looking to recover from a loss to Melquizael Costa in December.

No +109, he is getting plus money in a fight the market has almost leveled.

Por que apostar em Felipe Lima?

“Jungle Boy” impressed on short notice by submitting Muhammad Naimov (who fights on this same card), then moved to bantamweight, beat Miles Johns, and lost a competitive decision to rising star Payton Talbott. He now returns to 145.

Losing narrowly to Talbott is a better result than most fighters at this price can claim.

Final Betting Analysis: Morgan Charriere vs. Felipe Lima

The closest line on the card at -129/+109, and a clean clash of styles: this relies on whether Charriere can keep the fight in space and avoid entanglements with Lima’s grappling.

Both men were standout prospects before arriving. Neither has yet built consistency inside the Octagon.

FREE PICK: Charriere +109. In a genuine coin flip, take the plus money, and Charriere’s two stoppages in this building are the closest thing to a tiebreaker available.

UFC Fight Night: Losene Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov

Why Bet on Losene Keita?

Keita arrived with as much hype as any recent European signing, and at -400 the market still rates the talent gap as wide.

However, read Keita’s actual UFC history before taking that price. He was scheduled to debut in Paris last year and missed weight, causing his bout with Patricio Pitbull to be scrapped. He finally debuted in March and lost a competitive fight to Nathaniel Wood. He is 0-1 in the UFC and returns to the city where his first attempt fell apart on the scales.

Por que apostar em Muhammad Naimov?

Naimov is 5-2 through seven UFC appearances, though just 2-2 in his last four. The fighter from Tajikistan has considerably more experience at this level than the man who is a 4-to-1 favourite.

Final Betting Analysis: Losene Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov

This is the worst price on the card. A fighter who has lost his only UFC bout, and who has already failed to make weight in this building, is favoured at -400 over an opponent with seven Octagon appearances.

The hype is doing the work here, not the record.

FREE PICK: Naimov +316. The strongest underdog position on the main card. Keita may well be the better prospect; he is nowhere near an 80% proposition.

UFC Fight Night: Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann

Por que apostar em Mário Pinto?

O unbeaten Contender Series graduate has three straight wins since Season 8 and carries legitimate knockout power at heavyweight.

Por que apostar em Ryan Spann?

Two reasons, and the first is a caveat on Pinto. His most recent win over Felipe Franco was slightly underwhelming; Franco is a natural light heavyweight who took the fight on short notice. That result inflated a record more than it proved anything.

Spann, meanwhile, lost his heavyweight debut to Waldo Cortes Acosta last March and has since posted back-to-back stoppage wins over Lukasz Brzeski and Marcus Buchecha. He has adapted to the division and is finishing people in it.

Final Betting Analysis: Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann

The prelims close in the division where forecasting means least. Both men can end it in one exchange.

Pinto is unbeaten, but his last win came against an undersized short-notice opponent. Spann is on two straight stoppages at heavyweight against genuine division contenders.

FREE PICK: Spann +263. The better recent wins, at plus money, in the division with the highest knockout rate in the sport.

UFC Fight Night: Kurtis Campbell vs. Trevor Peek

Why Bet on Kurtis Campbell?

Two Contender Series graduates meet, and Campbell is the active one. The Liverpool featherweight earned a main card assignment in London earlier this year (though he faltered in it) and returns looking for a considerably better second outing.

Por que apostar em Trevor Peek?

Peek’s “all gas, no brakes” style has produced genuine chaos, including a first-round knockout on his UFC debut.

The problem is everything since. Peek has been out of action for nearly two years with various injuries and arrives on a two-fight losing streak. No +350, you are backing ring rust, a losing run, and a style that requires peak physical output.

Final Betting Analysis: Kurtis Campbell vs. Trevor Peek

We flagged -450 as short before doing the reading. Having done it, the number makes more sense than it looked: two years of inactivity, two straight defeats, and a high-output style that punishes anyone returning at less than full sharpness.

Campbell is not proven either; he lost his one main card chance.

FREE PICK: no play. -450 is too short to back, and Peek’s situation is too poor to oppose it with confidence. This is a fight to watch rather than bet.

UFC Fight Night: Oumar Sy vs. Modestas Bukauskas

Por que apostar em Oumar Sy?

The French light heavyweight won three of his first four UFC appearances and returns to Paris looking to recover from a submission loss last time out.

Por que apostar em Modestas Bukauskas?

The London-based Lithuanian is the more experienced fighter by a wide margin and responded to a January loss to Nikita Krylov (a serious light heavyweight) with a split-decision win over Christian Edwards. He has also shown one-round knockout power, having stopped Rafael Cerqueira in the first at UFC Seattle.

No +195, that is a veteran with wins over a better standard of opposition than the favourite has faced.

Final Betting Analysis: Oumar Sy vs. Modestas Bukauskas

This is precisely where our Shanghai mistake would repeat: a home favourite, a partisan arena, and a price that already includes the building.

Sy is the better prospect. He is also coming off a submission loss, which is the exact vulnerability a durable, experienced opponent will look to exploit.

FREE PICK: Bukauskas +195. Taking the experienced fighter at plus money against a home favourite recovering from a finish. We are deliberately not paying for the crowd.

UFC Fight Night: Nathaniel Wood vs. TBA

Por que apostar em Nathaniel Wood?

Wood is the established UFC featherweight here and beat Losene Keita in March; the same Keita who is a -400 favourite elsewhere on this card, which tells you something about both fighters’ true levels.

Why Bet on the Opponent?

Mairon Santos withdrew through illness, and the UFC still lists this bout as TBA. Reports indicate an undefeated newcomer, Pavel Andrusca, has stepped in.

A late-replacement debutant is unpredictable by definition, and Wood will have prepared for an entirely different fighter.

Final Betting Analysis: Nathaniel Wood vs. TBA

No line was posted at the time of writing because the matchup remains officially unconfirmed.

FREE PICK: no play. We do not bet fights without a price or a confirmed opponent. Worth watching to see whether Wood’s win over Keita ages well.

UFC Fight Night: Michael Aljarouj vs. Fabia Sintes

Why Bet on Michael Aljarouj?

Two newcomers meet, and “The Soldier” makes his promotional debut at home carrying a 13-3 record with one no contest e um seven-fight unbeaten streak.

Why Bet on Fabia Sintes?

Sintes arrives on seven straight wins of his own, having won the WOW flyweight title and successfully defended it twice.

Read those two records side by side. Aljarouj is unbeaten in seven; Sintes has won seven and holds a championship he defended twice. The -230/+192 split is not obviously supported by either résumé.

Final Betting Analysis: Michael Aljarouj vs. Fabia Sintes

Both men are debuting, which means neither has been tested at this level and both have beaten the opposition available to them.

The gap in the odds looks like a home-crowd adjustment rather than a talent read.

FREE PICK: Sintes +192. A champion who defended his title twice, priced as an underdog against a debutant whose main advantage is the postcode. This is the crowd tax, and we are taking the other side of it.

UFC Fight Night: Nora Cornolle vs. Klaudia Sygula

Por que apostar em Nora Cornolle?

The French striker has fought at the Accor Arena twice before and is the more familiar name at -180.

Why Bet on Klaudia Sygula?

The form line is stark, and it runs the opposite way to the odds.

Cornolle split her first six UFC appearances and enters on a two-fight losing streak, most recently a second-round stoppage loss to Joselyne Edwards. Sygula arrives on a two-fight winning streak, having most recently beaten the experienced Priscila Cachoeira.

A fighter coming off a stoppage defeat, on a two-fight skid, is favoured at -180 over a Polish prospect who has won her last two.

Final Betting Analysis: Nora Cornolle vs. Klaudia Sygula

We initially liked Cornolle here. The records do not support it. The only argument for the favourite is the building she is fighting in, and that is the argument that cost us the Shanghai card.

FREE PICK: Sygula +157. Momentum, form, and price all point the same way, and none of them point at the home fighter.

UFC Fight Night: Luis Felipe Dias vs. Matthieu Duclos

Por que apostar em Luis Felipe Dias?

The Brazilian earned his contract on the Contender Series last season and backed it up with a first-round stoppage of YiSak Lee at the end of May. At -265, the market is backing proven Octagon finishing ability.

Why Bet on Matthieu Duclos?

The French middleweight is debuting, and the path here is worth noting: he lost his Contender Series appearance in Season 7 and has since won four straight to earn the call.

That is a fighter who was rejected, went away, and fixed it. At +219, he offers plus money on a four-fight run, in a division where fights end quickly and debut nerves cut both ways.

Final Betting Analysis: Luis Felipe Dias vs. Matthieu Duclos

Dias has the UFC finish and the smoother route. Duclos has the longer current winning run and the harder road.

Middleweight produces upsets at a higher rate than -265 implies, and a debutant with four straight wins is not a soft touch.

FREE PICK: Duclos +219, small stake. Plus money in a division where a single exchange settles it.

UFC Fight Night: Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro

Why Bet on Sofia Montenegro?

The Argentine lost a debated split decision on the Contender Series against Jeisla Chaves last season and has spent the last year improving. At -140, the market marginally prefers her.

Why Bet on Delphine Benouaich?

The French strawweight is a recent Ultimate Fighter semifinalist who did enough in the house to earn this slot. She arrives at 7-2, with genuine athleticism, and opens the card in front of her own crowd.

Final Betting Analysis: Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro

Two debutants opening the show, with the closest line on the prelims. Montenegro has the more recent high-level experience; Benouaich has the TUF run and the better record.

O -140/+120 split is close enough that the price decides it.

FREE PICK: Benouaich +120. Free points in a coin flip, taken on the record and the TUF form, not on the arena.

Visão geral final do cartão

Two things define this card, and they are connected.

The favourites are short, and the card is French. Parnasse at -550, Campbell at -450, Keita at -400, three prices in exactly the range that cost us the Shanghai card, on an event where a partisan Paris crowd inflates every home fighter’s number.

We went 4-8 in Shanghai six days ago by treating crowd support as a handicapping factor. So this week the picks run deliberately against the building: Bukauskas over Sy, Sygula over Cornolle, Sintes over Aljarouj; three underdogs against French favourites, taken on form rather than atmosphere. Where the home fighter has an actual case, as with Ziam and Charriere, we have backed them on merit.

The worst price on the card is Losene Keita at -400. A fighter who is 0-1 in the UFC, who lost to Nathaniel Wood in March, and who missed weight in this very city last year, is a 4-to-1 favourite over a man with seven Octagon appearances. Naimov at +316 is the value bet of the night.

And the main event is the card. A two-division KSW champion at 23-2 against a ranked lightweight finished in his last tw: that is a genuinely excellent fight, and the market has moved nearly 200 points toward the newcomer since it opened. Parnasse probably wins. At -550, that is not the same thing as a bet.

Hooker at plus money is the position we like best, and we are staking it exactly like the underdog play it is.
