O Grande Prêmio do Catar seguirá o formato sprint introduzido em 2021 para adicionar emoção extra aos fins de semana de corrida. O formato sprint inclui uma corrida curta no sábado, que atribui pontos muito importantes na temporada. Além disso, esse formato mudou as regras do jogo, agregando imprevisibilidade e trazendo uma nova dinâmica ao a F1.

A Red Bull chega ao Grande Prêmio do Catar como Campeã Mundial de Construtores, após a vitória de Max Verstappen no Grande Prêmio do Japão. The Dutchman’s performance was spectacular, as he outpaced his rivals to take the win. On the other hand, Verstappen’s victory not only strengthened Red Bull’s position at the top of the constructors’ standings but also put it in a strong position in the drivers’ championship.
Likewise, Verstappen, with his aggressive driving style and never-give-up attitude, has been the standout driver this season, hands down. After his victory in Japan, the question on everyone’s lips is: Can he be crowned three-time world champion in Qatar? The Dutchman certainly has momentum on his side, and if he can maintain his current form, he has a good chance of achieving this remarkable feat.
The Circuit: Circuito Internacional de Losail
The 5,419-meter Losail International Circuit, also known as the Lusail International Circuit, is located in the homonymous city, of Qatar, about 28 kilometers north of Doha, the country’s capital.
The circuit hosted its first Formula 1 race in 2021 and has seen some great battles over the 57-lap course.

It seems almost certain that the Dutch driver will win his third consecutive World Championship. He has won 13 of the 16 races contested so far and has finished first in all but Singapore. He has 177 points more than Checo Perez, his teammate, who is in second place.
The remaining points can add up to 180, but Verstappen needs just three to win, so a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s sprint could be enough for him. It would be the first time in the competition’s history that something like this has happened.
