The next major mixed martial arts event produced by the UFC will take place this Saturday, March 13 at the UFC Apex Enterprise, Las Vegas, Nevada. After an exciting UFC 259, we have the second event in the form of Noite de Lutas do UFC. This time it will have as protagonists some classic fighters, that is, between striker and grappler. The night will star the Palestinian Belal Muhammad and the English Leon Edwards.

Leon Edwards (-275) Vs Belal Muhammad (+215)

Placed at #3 of the current welterweight ranking, Leon Edwards, returns to the Octagon after a long wait of 20 months. Due to a series of obstacles that presented him in his personal life during the Covid-19 pandemic, he was prevented from getting on the mat and fighting for more than 1 year. He currently has a streak of 8 consecutive victories with the last being against Rafael dos Anjos on July 20, 2019, by a unanimous decision. His current record is 18 wins and 3 losses.

Cirkunov is classified as a fighter who goes for all or nothing, so much so, that throughout his entire career within the octagons of MMA he has only defined two fights through points. The Canadian’s main weapon is wrestling, which has helped him win 9 of his 15 bouts by submission. He is currently going through a bump, in which he has a record of 2 wins and 3 losses in his last 5 fights. In addition to this, his last 6 fights have ended in the first round.

Dan Ige had an impressive winning streak since losing at UFC 220 to Julio Arce, but was defeated at Fight Island by Kattar in July 2020. Ige has a great opportunity to bounce back from this loss and climb the world rankings again. He is currently ranked #9 in the featherweight division, so a victory against Tucker would ensure his rise to the Top 5 of the division. He currently has a record of 14 – 3.

When this event was announced, it was thought that Gavin Tucker would face Swanson in his first fight of 2021, but he advanced his schedule and replaced the injured Hall to fight against Ige on March 13. Tucker is on the eve of adding another incredible victory to his current record (12-1) and thus blasting his way to the featherweight rankings.

Matheus Nicolau (-125) Vs Manel Kape (-110)

Matheus Nicolau made his UFC debut in the fourth season of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil in 2015. He remained active until 2018 when he retired from the UFC and set out on a new path in MMA. In these 3 years, he had a 3 – 1 record. The Brazilian’s last fight was at Brave CF 25, where he defeated Felipe Efraín by a unanimous decision. He currently has a record of 15 – 3 – 1.

Now, Portuguese and former RIZIN champion Manel Kape made his UFC debut less than a month ago and was defeated by Alexandre Pantoja. In this fight, a somewhat shy and confused Kape was noticed, so much so, that only 94 hits were counted in total. He currently has a record of 0-1 in the UFC and 15-4 in the MMA.
