Why Bet on Commanders?

The Washington Commanders were one of the surprise teams last season, and this time, they started on the right foot, but theyโ€™ve already stumbled on their first obstacle in the form of the Green Bay Packers.

Last week, they fell on their visit to Wisconsin, 27-18, in a game where Jayden Daniels had a 57% completion rate, with 24 completed passes on 42 attempts, 200 yards, and two touchdowns. He had no interceptions, but he was sacked four times for a loss of 21 yards.

The scorers were wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tight end Zach Ertz, who also scored in the previous game against the New York Giants.

Among the bad news for head coach Dan Quinn is that Daniels has not practiced this week after suffering a knee sprain against the Packers. He is expected to be with his teammates on Friday, but the decision will be made on game day. Marcus Mariota, who has recovered from Achilles tendonitis, could be the starting quarterback.

Those who definitely wonโ€™t be available are Austin Ekeler, Deatrich Wise Jr., and Jonathan Jones. The first two have already undergone surgery and will miss the rest of the season, while the latter is expected to return by the end.

Following Ekelerโ€™s injury, the lead running back role is now expected to fall on rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who scored a touchdown against the Giants but was shut down against the Packers.

Why Bet on the Raiders?

The Las Vegas Raiders want to turn around the terrible image they left last season, and it seemed possible after defeating the New England Patriots on the road in Week 1 by a score of 13-20. However, this past weekend, they fell at home to the Los Angeles Chargers 9-20 in a game where they failed to score a single touchdown.

This time, quarterback Geno Smith came up empty despite completing 24 of 43 passes for 180 yards. It was a rough afternoon for the 34-year-old, who was intercepted three times and sacked three times, costing the team 30 yards.

In their first two games, the Raiders have allowed 32 pressures and seven sacks, showing that the offensive line is not protecting Smith. And while he already has four interceptions this year and clearly needs to improve, the truth is that the offense hasnโ€™t provided him with many options during games either.

Tight end Brock Bowers, who had a record-setting rookie season, has 10 receptions this year for 141 yards. The rookie to watch on the team this year is Ashton Jeanty. The running back from Boise State scored a touchdown in his first game, but against the Chargers, he was limited to just 43 yards on 11 carries, plus one additional yard on three receptions.

Final Betting Analysis: Commanders vs. Raiders

Itโ€™s hard to make a prediction without knowing if a teamโ€™s quarterback will play, especially if itโ€™s Jayden Daniels. His absence would be a huge blow for Washington. Last year, Marcus Mariota played a couple of games against weaker teams and did well, so we believe that even with that possible loss, the Commanders will come out victorious.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have the Commanders as the favorite, with their Moneyline at -175, while the Raiders sit at +138.

The last time they faced each other was on December 5, 2021, when the Commanders won 15-17 on the road with a field goal in the final minute. Washington has won the last four games against this opponent and hasnโ€™t lost since 2005 (16-13).

The regular season series is tied with seven wins apiece; however, the Raiders hold an extra victory in the postseason, in the 1984 Super Bowl.

Go for a win for the Commanders. If you bet $100 at -175, you will gain $57 for a total payout of $157.
