Why Bet on Terrence Crawford

Terence Crawford, the former pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, returns to the ring for the first time in over a year.

Crawford’s versatility is among the main reasons he is considered one of the best pound-for-pound boxers, if not the best. 

Bud has the ability to fight southpaw or orthodox with seemingly no difference in power or defense. This keeps fighters on edge; as he figures out a game plan to put them away, which he does at a high frequency. 

Bud has an outstanding fight IQ matched with that ability to switch stances. He also does a great job changing up; whether he wants to be the aggressor or use his outstanding counters.

Why Bet on Shawn Porter

This is the third time in five fights that Porter, the former WBA welterweight champion, will walk to the ring as an underdog. 

He did cash in one of those instances, as a +135 option against Danny Garcia, to win the aforementioned title. 

“Showtime” nearly pulled off another upset in his bout with Errol Spence Jr. in September 2019, which came down to a split decision.

Porter has all the ability to produce what the odds would suggest is a shock win, and he is no stranger to the biggest fights in the welterweight division, as he has never been one to shy away from taking on the big names. 

Final Betting Analysis: Crawford vs. Porter

While Crawford typically relies more on defense and counter-striking, Porter is a bulldog in the ring, not giving a lot of room to work and having a lot of output. 

Normally, underdog fighters have to bring the fight to the champions but that isn’t necessary for this fight. 

In fact, it could be argued that Porter may have to sit back at times and try to draw out an attack from Crawford.

All that said, if Porter elects to be his typical self, creating a firefight, Crawford will counter heavily, should be the faster man, and could be the first to knock out Porter. 

At times, Shawn can overextend when he’s throwing his big shots and if he’s off-balance, that’s where he can get in trouble.
