Dana White’s Contender Series The Main Card Analysis:

Main Event – Lightweight: Achilles Estremadura vs. Maheshate

Headlining DWCS Season 5, Week 10 will be an exciting Lightweight bout between the undefeated Achilles Estremadure (7-0) and Maheshate who is (5-1).

The BFL Grown fighter, who is also the promotion’s LW Champion, comes in with an interesting record. He finished 4 fights via KO/TKO, having won decisions on the other 3.

His opponent, the Chinese Mahestate comes with a similar record, having 3 KO/TKO finishes and 2 decision victories.

The records on both fighters show that they have the gas tank for a full fight. Of course, both can deal with pressure to dominate or finish it, which should make for an exciting main event.

Welterweight: Yohan Lainesse vs. Justin Burlinson

The Co-main event of the evening is a Welterweight bout between both undefeated Yohan Leinesse (7-0) and Justin Burlinson (6-0).

With 5 KO/TKOs and 2 decisions, we have Yohan “White Lion” Lainesse. Except for his flying knee finish, we know that he is most comfortable using his fists to finish his opponents.

The other corner has Justin Burlinson, who so has finished all his fights, with 3 by the way of his hands, and 3 via submissions.

This match-up is most likely to have a finish in it and with both fighters enjoying the KO/TKO Finish. However, it is likely we will see some exciting striking exchanges.

Flyweight: Lun Qiu vs. Erisson Ferreira

Right at the middle of the event, the flyweights take the spot once more when Lun Qiu (14-7) shares the cage with the Brazilian Erisson Ferreira (10-1).

Lin Qiu is a pretty active fighter, with a 5 fights average per calendar year since his career started. But, has seen mixed results in his 21 fights.

He is a wild card, having 5 KO/TKOs, 6 Decisions, and 3 Submissions.

Opposing him, we have a dangerous fighter in Erisson “Gato” Ferreira, who has finished all his victories via TKO, being a dangerous and powerful striker who relies upon his hands.

Featherweight: Jonas Bilharinho vs. Canaan Kawaihae

The featherweights are the second set of fighters to get into the cage this night, when the Brazilian fighter, Jonas Bilharinho (8-1-1), meets the Hawaiian Canaan Kawaihae (6-1).

The Brazilian “Shiva” has good and varied striking, with 6 out of 7 finishes via KO/TKO, with 2 via Head Kick, 2 Via Punches, and even a Flying Knee.

On the other side, we have the Hawaiian submission artist, Canaan Kawaihae, who has managed 4 choke submissions out of 5 finishes in his short MMA Career.

This second match is the old-school match-up of striker vs grappler, but both fighters have a finish in the other’s specialized area, so things should be interesting.

Flyweight: Zhifa Shang vs. Juan Puerta

The first match of the evening is a perfect opener, as both of these flyweight fighters have a ton of experience under their belts.

First, we have Zhifa Shang, who comes in with a record of 32 wins and 7 losses, and is riding on a 20 fight winning streak.

The “Dongbei Flying Tiger” is a dangerous finisher, having 4 KO/TKOs and 19 Submissions, 14 of them the ol’ trusty Rear Naked Choke.

On the other side, we have Juan “Ladfeather” Puerta, who comes in with 22 wins and 6 losses record, having finished 12 via submission, 8 of them chokes.

The young American fighter brands an 11 win streak, and is ready to put himself to the test in the Contender Series.

Expect this match to go to the ground, as both fighters are dangerous submission specialists, who focus on chokes.
