Why Bet on Maria Cecilia Roman

Román has owned the IBF title since 2017 when she beat Carolina Raquel Duer

Since then, she has defended the crown seven times.

She had a no-decision in that span and also lost a majority decision to Melissa Oddessa Parker. However, it wasn’t in her typical bantamweight class, so she didn’t lose her belt.

The last time Román (16-5-1) fought was on November 26, winning a unanimous decision over Daniela Bárbara Rivero.

It will be Roman’s first time fighting outside of South America and the only time fighting professionally outside of his native Argentina.

Why Bet on Ebanie Bridges

Ebanie’s last boxing appearance came in Leeds six months ago, when the Australian defeated Mailys Gangloff at Headingley on a points decision.

Since then, Bridges has become rapidly well known in Leeds and a real fans favorite – with thousands expected to cheer her on in her title bout before Warrington’s fight with Kiko Martinez.

Bridges (7-1, 3 KOs) fought four times in 2021, including a unanimous decision against Shannon Courtenay for the WBA bantamweight title last April.

Since then, she has knocked out Bec Connolly in August and defeated Mailys Gangloff in September.

The loss to Courtenay was the only one of her career, but Román will be the most experienced fighter Bridges has ever faced.

Final Betting Analysis – Maria Cecilia Roman vs. Ebanie Bridges:

This fight is bound to be a banger, we got a Champ who has defended her belt multiple times, and an exciting challenger with all the tools to make this match a war.

Things will be a little different for the Champion, who is for the first time out of her home and away from her crowd, and her opponent has the fans on the pocket, and the skillset required to take the belt away.

Our betting pick is on the challenger, Bridges, to claim the title in this match.
