Fluminense also pulled off a major upset in the tournament by defeating the Champions League runner-up, Inter, 2-0 in the Round of 16.
But what Al Hilal achieved was incredible, as they won an epic match 4-3 in extra time against Manchester City.

Why Bet on Fluminense?
Fluminense remains unbeaten in this tournament and pulled off a surprise few expected: eliminating Inter Milan. It was a 2-0 win for the Brazilians, who capitalized on key moments to score.
The first goal came just three minutes in from Germán Cano, the 37-year-old Argentine striker, who took advantage of a lapse between Darmian, Dumfries, and Sommer to head the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs. It was his 106th goal for the ‘Tricolor’ in his 200th appearance for the club.
Both teams had chances, with Flu being saved by the post on a couple of occasions, until Hércules sealed the win with a low shot in the 90+3 minute.
Renato Portaluppi’s team features two veterans: 44-year-old goalkeeper Fábio and 40-year-old center-back and captain Thiago Silva, both having an outstanding tournament. Colombian winger Jhon Arias is the key player, being named man of the match in three of Fluminense’s four games.
On the positive side, Yeferson Soteldo, who joined the club a few weeks ago as a tournament reinforcement, has recovered from injury and made it to the bench against Inter, though he has yet to make his debut. On the downside, midfielder Renê is suspended.
Why Bet on Al Hilal?
We must stand and applaud Al Hilal’s incredible feat. In a spectacular match, they defeated Manchester City 4-3 in extra time to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament, proudly representing Asian football in the Club World Cup.
They went down just nine minutes into the game. However, they managed to turn it around with goals from Marcos Leonardo and Malcom, the latter following a brilliant pass from João Cancelo and an excellent run by the Brazilian. Erling Haaland equalized, sending the match into extra time.
In that period, Kalidou Koulibaly scored with a header, Phil Foden tied it up again, and then Marcos Leonardo reappeared after a rebound to score the final 4-3 in the 112th minute. It was the Brazilian’s third goal of the tournament.
But this victory was only possible thanks to a heroic performance from Bono. The Moroccan goalkeeper was the undisputed star, making saves that will be replayed for years to come. He had already shone in the 1-1 draw against Real Madrid by saving a last-minute penalty, and he did it again in this match.
The Saudis remain unbeaten. In addition to the results mentioned above, they also defeated Pachuca 2-0 and drew 0-0 with RB Salzburg.
It’s worth noting that their top scorer, Aleksandar Mitrović, has been out due to an injury suffered just days before the tournament began. Against the ‘Citizens’, they were also missing captain and star Salem Al-Dawsari and center-back Hassan Al-Tambakti. All three are starters, and it’s very likely none of them will be available for the next match either.
