The competitive series of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is in an excellent moment after the start of IEM Dallas 2022, one of the most important events of Intel Extreme Masters which will have the participation of the best teams of the moment in the world, in a tournament that has a prize pool of $250,000, as well as points for the Pro-Tour circuit and the BLAST Premier.

After recently finishing the fantastic PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where FaZe Clan proved that their #1 tag published by the CS:GO world rankings is no coincidence and, together with Karrigan and Rain, they managed to defeat and crush the great final of the tournament to one of the best teams in the world and that came to defend their title of champions, NaVi, with a score of 2-0.

Now, in this IEM Dallas 2022, FaZe Clan arrives with a lot of confidence and, above all, a great push to achieve another trophy in this wonderful year 2022 that they are experiencing. FaZe Clan is with great teams like ENCE, FURIA, G2 Esports, NiP, Astralis, Team Vitality, Imperial Esports, and many more to drop their all in this tournament in pursuit of glory.

An important point to highlight for this IEM Dallas 2022 is that we will not have the participation of two great teams; NaVi and Entropiq; belonging to the CIS region, specifically from Russia and Ukraine, which will not be able to travel to the United States due to visa problems in relation with the war.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XVII – Dallas Teams:

  • ENCE
  • FaZe Clan
  • FURIA Esports
  • G2 Esports
  • NiP
  • Astralis
  • Team Heroic
  • Cloud9
  • Team Vitality
  • MOUZ
  • Team Liquid
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Imperial Esports
  • LookingForOrg
  • BIG
  • Movistar Riders

These last two teams that we are naming, BIG and Movistar Riders arrive at this Intel Extreme Master Dallas 2022, replacing NaVi and Entropiq.

This prestigious event will take place from May 30 to June 05, 2022, and will have a prize pool of $250,000, as well as a good bag of points (Pro Tour and BLAST Premier).

The format of the Intel Extreme Masters Season XVII Dallas 2022 will be double-elimination (GSL), where the two groups of 8 teams that will participate in the tournament are ready. Opening matches will be best of 1 (BO1), all other matches will be BO3. The top 3 teams in each group will advance to the Playoffs.

  • First place advances directly to the Semifinals.
  • Second place advances to the Quarterfinals in the Upper Bracket.
  • Third place advances to the Lower Bracket quarterfinals.

One of the teams that entered at the last minute, Movistar Riders, has not been lucky if we look at the group to which they will belong in this IEM Dallas 2022 since they will share Group A with G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Astralis, ENCE, MOUZ, and LookingForOrg.

On the other hand, Group B is made up of Cloud9, Team Liquid, FURIA, Imperial Esports, Complexity, BIG, and Team Heroic.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XVII Favorite Teams

While FaZe Clan on paper is the top seed, coming off Major champions just a week ago, IEM Dallas might be a little more open than we might think. FaZe Clan could come into this IEM with a much calmer mindset, no pressure, and a lot of confidence. So teams like Team Heroic, G2, Astralis, Vitality, ENCE, and FURIA could take advantage of FaZe’s possible calm and overconfidence and NaVi’s absence to take the title.

Nor can we forget Imperial Esports, the Brazilian team that was about to reach the Champions Stage in the Major played in Belgium a few days ago.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XVII LATAM Teams

  • FURIA Esports

Of course, the best team in Latin America, FURIA Esports, comes to this tournament with the firm conviction of improving the result obtained in the past Major, where after reaching the quarterfinals in the Champions Stage with much favoritism, they were crushed by Team Spirit with a score of 0-2.

FURIA has had a fantastic year in 2022 and hopes to finish this IEM Dallas 2022 in a better location. FURIA’s first match will be against his friends, colleagues, and compatriots of Imperial Esports, so the entire Latin American Esports community will be glued to this match.

  • Imperial Esports

Now, we have Imperial Esports, the Brazilian team of the moment, which was put together just a few months ago with old acquaintances from the world of gaming in Brazil and who are now giving a lot to talk about, showing that despite the years that have passed, the experience can prevail over the new generations.

Imperial Esports comes from playing an excellent Major a few days ago, they managed to be just one victory away from advancing to the Champions Stage, but, they could not against CPH Flames and fell with a score of 0-2.

Now, Imperial Esports comes to this tournament with the conviction of continuing to show that there is still a lot of talent and level left for these experienced Brazilian professional CS:GO players.
