Having won the first leg at Raymond James Stadium against Toronto FC by 3 to 1, the second leg could bring different results. Five important facts to review before the quarterfinal second leg between Cruz Azul vs. Toronto FC

Let’s take a look at how both teams are coming into the second leg of the quarterfinals.

The leader of Liga MX will arrive at this second leg with the illusion of returning to the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions, where last year they were also eliminated in these instances against the team that also lives in MLS, LAFC. Still, this time they hope to take advantage of the excellent result achieved while away to reach the top 4 of the tournament finals. It is worth mentioning that the team coached by Juan Reynoso Guzmán finished first in the regular phase of the Liga MX, so they are quite inspired for this continental event.

The team coached by former professional soccer player Chris Armas will be looking to improve their performance, as the team led by US international Michael Bradley has only won one game this season against Leon in the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions League, with three defeats and two draws, so it will be a challenging game for TFC. Still, if they want to advance, they must show a better version of their game to win the match.
