Argentinos Juniors is having an excellent season, demonstrated by its first place in Group A with 25 points, tied with its rival. But their 22 goals make them the second-best offense in the Argentine tournament, with Alan Lescano and Maximiliano Romero scoring five goals each. They have just suffered a terrible defeat at home in the Copa Sudamericana against Racing of Uruguay by 0-3.

Like their rival, Barracas Central is having a semester that exceeds expectations. They have three wins in a row and have only lost once in the last ten games. Although they are tied for first place, they need a point to secure their spot in the next round. Alan Cantero is their best scorer with only three goals.

Instituto is living its worst moment of 2024, losing its last four games, thus the club has fallen to seventh place in the group with 17 points. In this bad streak, they have allowed seven goals, and therefore, their elimination is already consummated, as they are not even close to fourth place.

River Plate led Group A for most of the semester but has had some setbacks and fell to third place with 24 points, and a loss on the last matchday could eliminate them. The good news for coach Martín Demichelis is that he has the league’s best scorer, Colombian Miguel Borja, who has scored on 12 occasions.

Boca Juniors took a long time to carburate with Diego Martínez but managed to do so, and despite owing one game (64 minutes vs. Estudiantes), they are already in fourth place with 22 points, the result of six wins, four draws, and two defeats. Uruguayan Edinson Cavani is on fire, scoring seven goals in the last six games of the Xeneize team. Boca has only lost two of its previous ten matches and is the best home team in the group, as they are undefeated in six games.

Godoy Cruz has been the best club in the Copa de la Liga, collecting 29 points. It has only lost twice while accumulating nine wins. In the last two games, they won, and the most interesting thing about the Tomba is that they have only allowed five goals in 13 games, which denotes that they are a very tough team to beat. Their first place is already assured.

Boca Juniors vs. Godoy Cruz Betting Pick: Boca Juniors

Lanús is second in group B with 23 points, but its qualification to the next stage is not decided. It has won two of its last five matches in the tournament, has the second-highest number of goals in its zone with 19, and has in Walter Bou its best scorer with six.

Estudiantes has Edwuin Cetré inspired, scoring two goals and assisting twice in their last two games, so right now, they have hopes of winning to get into the next round. In addition, the Pincha has a game pending against Boca Juniors. The best thing about this team is its defense, with only eight goals conceded.
