The UEFA Conference League has reached its last step with the final between West Ham and Fiorentina. This is just the second edition of the tournament. However, it has proven to be quite successful, as the participant teams receive good attention from the media and the stadiums are generally full.
The English representative and the Italian one come with a sole objective: to fill themselves with glory after many seasons in the shadows of mid-table obscurity and irrelevancy. The Violas have been a little better over history, trophy related, but both are pretty traditional clubs, with many histories, and that had experienced pretty harsh lows in the recent past.
Whatever the case, nothing else matters more than to win a trophy in the final game of the season for both clubs, celebrating a closing matchup that will serve as the last appetizer before the most important match in club football in the world next Saturday.

The Londoners have a date with history once again. Last season they fell short in their marvelous quest in the Europa League, as, after reaching the semifinals being favorites for the trophy and having eliminated nonetheless than Sevilla, an Impressive Franckfurt had the upper hand, being the champions after beating Rangers in the final.

Last season they finished 7th, while this time they ended the league as 8th. Not bad, just that, unluckily for them, Atalanta revived this time. They also reached the semifinals of the Coppa Italia, so it was a good, successful season, for a team accustomed to being the best of the rest in the Serie A, and that could even end with a new trophy on the shelf.

Seeing at both clubs’ squads, West Ham may look superior, but the Italians come in a better rhythm so we could say that things at pretty much balanced.
