Why Bet on Grêmio?

Grêmio was reinforced with the Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez to be a contender for the title, but so far their struggle seems to be that of being the escort of Botafogo, which has stepped fiercely on all its rivals.

The Tricolor of Porto Alegre is coming off a 2-1 loss to Santos, due to a last-minute lapse in the team’s defensive concentration. In its last five games, it has only won twice and lost twice to opponents who are fighting to stay in the category. In addition, they were eliminated from the Copa do Brasil against Flamengo. It is not a great present for Renato Portaluppi’s team, which in the league’s top 10 is the second most defeated defense, with 25 goals conceded.

So far Grêmio has been a great home team, scoring 23 points out of a possible 30. The Fogao has been the only club to beat them at the Arena do Grêmio.

The hardest loss for Portaluppi’s team is that of defender and captain Walter Kannemann.

Why Bet on Cruzeiro?

Cruzeiro is having a mediocre year in its return to the Brasileirão Série A, with only 25 points in 20 matches and qualifying, for now, to the next Copa Sudamericana, but with its eye on the relegation zone.

The Black Beast is coming off a 1-1 draw with Corinthians and has now gone six games without a win. The last time they picked up three points was on July 8, when they beat Vasco da Gama 1-0 at home.

Although the defense has been at a high level, with only 17 goals conceded, the poor record of 20 goals scored has the Minas Gerais team out of contention for better positions.

However, it must be said that Cruzeiro is a good visitor, being the sixth team with the most points, with a total of 13, the result of three wins, four draws, and two defeats.

The absentees for coach Pepa are Rafael Bilu, Ramiro, and Wesley Gasolina, all names that have been absent for months.

Final Betting Analysis: Grêmio vs. Cruzeiro

Cruzeiro is a team that comes in a very irregular moment in the season, increasingly far from the top half of the table, which is why Grêmio, despite not living a great present, is the favorite to take the three points at their home.

The numbers at MyBookie.ag have Grêmio as the favorite, as the Moneyline for them shows -105, meanwhile Cruzeiro has +290 and the draw is at +245.

In 2023 these teams met three times. In the league, Cruzeiro won 1-0, in the Copa do Brasil there was a 1-1 draw in the first leg and the Tricolor won 1-0 in the second leg with a goal by Mathias Villasanti.

Go for a straight win for Grêmio in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 at -105, you will gain $95 for a total payout of $195.
