The Regular season of the Clausura in Liga MX finished, and we now have the best 12 teams fighting to get to the Quarterfinals in the Playoffs.
The top 4 teams, which are Monterrey, America, Guadalajara, and Toluca, have a secured place in the quarterfinals, but the other 8 teams still have to duke it out to get there.
This Weekend we will get the 4 matches to decide who makes it to the quarterfinals, with 4 teams clashing on Saturday and the other 4 on Sunday.
Pachuca made it into the playoffs as the 5th placed team, so they are facing the last seed in Santos Laguna.

Pachuca came in at the 5th spot, which means they are the top seed in the “repechage” phase.
Due to this and the replacement of the 10th seed, they are going to have the easiest match-up available, and according to their most recent performances, they should be ready to take the win and claim their spot in the quarterfinals.
The champions were fighting for a top-four place throughout the tournament. However, their inconsistencies turn out to be expensive in the end. The team seems a little unbalanced without a center forward who can score many goals, but they still have the punch to finish matches and even steamroll once in a while.
