A huge surprise in the Premier League, as Wolves, which was one of the worst teams in terms of results in the Premier League, but not so much in terms of play, beat the all-powerful Manchester City of Pep Guardiola, who was not on the bench due to suspension, 2-1.

The first conversion came for the home team in the 13th minute, with Pedro Neto’s overflow and cross, which Rúben Dias put into his net. Although the Citizens equalized with a great free kick goal by Julián Álvarez to the right corner (58′), South Korean Hwang Hee-Chan put the score at 66′, sending a cross by Brazilian Matheus Cunha to the back of the net.

City felt the absence of the suspended Rodri in midfield but remained in the lead with 18 points.

After a 2-2 draw at home in the London derby with Tottenham, Arsenal returned to winning ways and thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 away.

Bukayo Saka took advantage of a rebound in the box and scored the first goal after 17 minutes, then came the turn of Martin Odegaard, who celebrated the second with a penalty kick (44′). The third came in the same way with the German Kai Havertz (53′), who had not scored all season with the Gunners. The last goal was scored by defender Ben White, heading in Odegaard’s cross at the near post (90+3′).

This victory puts Arsenal third with 17 points, with the same number of points as Tottenham and one behind Manchester City.

The most attractive match of the day went to Tottenham, who beat Liverpool 2-1 with a goal by Heung-min Son after 36 minutes from a Richarlison pass in the heart of the area and an own goal by Joel Matip at 90+6′ when he failed in an attempt to reject the ball. The Reds conversion came from a shot in the heart of the box by Cody Gakpo.

It was a duel marked by controversy, as Liverpool ended up with two players sent off and Luis Díaz had a goal disallowed for a non-existent offside, which led the English Referees’ Association to apologize. Also, Alexis Mac Allister could have a sanction by the FA because of an Instagram post in which he says that it is too hard to play against 12 players, referring to the fact that the referee was in favor of the Londoners.

However, Spurs are now behind Manchester City with 17 points, while Liverpool is fourth with 16.
