Why Bet on Santos?

Santos is going through an ordeal this season in the Brasileirão, as victories have eluded them and they have practically become a collector of defeats.

Their last match ended in a 4-1 loss in the derby against Sao Paulo, making a total of seven losses in the tournament, while they have only won four times. As if that were not enough, with 23 goals conceded their defense is one of the worst in the competition and in the last four games alone they have conceded 13 goals.

In 10 games they have only won once and offensively they depend on what Colombian Steven Mendoza, who has five goals and two assists so far, can do.

Paulo Turra has injured defenders Felipe Jonatan, Lucas Pires, and Nathan, as well as striker Yeferson Soteldo. The backline would have Joao Lucas, Joaquin, Messias, and Gabriel Inocencio, while Soteldo would be replaced by Lucas Braga.

Why Bet on Botafogo?

Botafogo has proven to be the best team in Brazil so far in 2023 and is probably the top contender to win the title with its 12-point lead over Flamengo.

In their last game, they overcame RB Bragantino, one of the league’s most competitive sides, 2-0 and reaffirmed themselves as an impregnable defense, conceding just seven goals in 15 matches. They have four clean sheets and in the last 10 games only Athletico Paranaense and Deportivo Magallanes have managed to beat Fogao’s goalkeeper.

Bruno Lage’s team could have two casualties in offense: Matheus Nascimiento and Victor Sa, however, both are relievers, since the starters in the attack are Junior Santos, Tiquinho Soares, and Luis Henrique. Precisely, Tiquinho is the top scorer of the Brasileirao with 10 goals.

Final Betting Analysis: Santos vs. Botafogo

Getting a point against Botafogo would be a miracle for Santos, considering their miserable season. The Fogao are clear favorites to win at the home of the Peixe and extend their good momentum over all the rivals in their country, and we think they would do it.

The numbers at MyBookie.ag have Botafogo as the favorite, as the Moneyline for them shows +100, meanwhile Santos has +300 and the draw is +220.

The last duel between these two clubs ended with a 3-0 win for the Rio de Janeiro team, while the last time they played at the home of the Peixe the victory was for the local team by 2-0.

One more fact to keep in mind is that Botafogo has started winning in its last 10 league matches, while Santos has three consecutive games conceding goals in all competitions.

Go for a straight win for Botafogo in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 at +100, you will gain $100 for a total payout of $200.
