This race was first introduced to the North American racing calendar in 2019 as part of the ‘Turf Trinity’ but has been run since the early 1900s. While it may not be as popular as the more notable Triple Crown races, it’s still one of the greats. The prize purse for this race is a rather hefty $1 million, so as you might expect, it attracts some pretty competitive and high-profile horses. We’ll also see some of the highest-paid jockeys.
