MLS is coming to the end of its regular season, and each day, we enjoy spectacular matches that are gradually defining the teams that will advance to the postseason.
On matchday 34, we witnessed a draw for Inter Miami and a loss for FC Cincinnati, which Columbus Crew took advantage of to climb to second place in the Eastern Conference. On the other hand, LAFC managed to get a little closer to the LA Galaxy at the top of the West, but they need a miracle to take over first place in the standings.
In the Big Apple derby, NYC FC annihilated the Red Bulls 5-1, while Real Salt Lake also moved closer to the top of the West, as they have 52 points, the same as Los Angeles FC.

Inter Miami came very close to succumbing at home to Charlotte FC, but the magic of Leo Messi appeared to give them a draw and a share of the spoils last Saturday at Chase Stadium.
Charlotte FC didn’t have many scoring chances, but they were able to take advantage of defensive lapses by Inter Miami to take the lead in the 57th minute, thanks to a goal by Karol Swiderski. However, Inter Miami’s siege paid off 10 minutes later when Argentine star Leo Messi scored a superb goal from outside the box to give his team the equalizer.
Inter Miami is not closing this regular season very well, but it is practically impossible for them to give up the top of the Eastern Conference.

FC Cincinnati could not take advantage of Inter Miami’s draw this matchday 34 and lost to LAFC with a score of 1-2 as locals.
It was an extremely even match, where both teams had clear chances to score. However, it was Los Angeles FC who managed to get the advantage and take the three points.
David MartÃnez Morales was in charge of opening the scoreboard for LAFC in minute 34′, with an extraordinary goal. Then, in the 61st minute, Lucas Orellano scored the 1-1 to bring FC Cincinnati back into the match.
However, 12 minutes later, LAFC sealed the game with a great goal by Denis Bouanga to take the win and continue the chase for the LA Galaxy at the top of the Western Conference.

The Philadelphia Union were unable to capitalize on their supremacy on the pitch in their match against Atlanta United and ended in a 1-1 draw.
The home side had plenty of opportunities to get on the scoreboard, especially in the first half. However, Atlanta’s defense was in charge of repelling each of these attacks, and, thanks to this, the first half ended with a 0-0 score.
Then, in the second half, specifically in the 61st minute, Nathan Harriel scored the first goal of the match to put Philadelphia up 1-0. However, 11 minutes later, Atlanta United equalized with a great goal by Saba Lobzhanide to put the game to a close.

Finally, in a bizarre match that ended in a goal rain, we have the NY Red Bulls failing at home against their city rivals, NYC FC, and theyended up conceding with a terrible score of 1-5.
Despite the result, the Red Bulls had more possession and scoring chances than NYC FC. However, the effectiveness of the visiting team was spectacular.
The actions started very well for the visitors, who scored their first two goals in minutes 5′ and 7′ in the feet of Maximiliano Morales and Alonso Martinez, respectively. Then, in the 28th minute. The NY Red Bulls would score a great goal by Dante Vanzeir, but the excitement was short-lived because only 2 minutes later, Andres Felipe Perea scored the 3-1 for NYC.
However, it didn’t end there, as seconds before the end of the first half, Martinez scored his second goal of the night to give the visiting team a 4-1 lead. Finally, in the 67th minute, Tayvon Gray scored the final 5-1 to seal his team victory.
