Why Bet on Purdue?

Purdue University has made history, as it qualified for its first NCAA national championship final in basketball since 1969, when it was edged 92-72 by UCLA. The Boilermakers put together a solid performance in the semis, topping N.C. State 63-50 in Glendale, Ariz.

It was a special night for center Zach Edey, who finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds, nine of them defensive. He was able to score nine of 14 shots, while he was able to block twice. Edey was consecrated as a reference for this university, which also had 14 points from Lance Jones and 11 from Fletcher Loyer.

Although he was not accurate at the basket, Braden Smith contributed six assists and three steals in the run-up to the final.

To reach this stage, Purdue was the leader in its conference, with a 17-3 record against its group rivals, while finishing the regular season with a 34-4 record. In the postseason, Purdue defeated Grambling, Utah State, Gonzaga, Tennessee, and N.C. State.

Edey has been the player with the best numbers, averaging 25 points in 31.6 minutes, scoring with an efficiency of 62.4%. For his part, Smith, with 7.5, is the one who gives more assists.

Why Bet on UConn?

Being the reigning NCAA champion generated extra pressure on the UConn Huskies. However, this team showed hierarchy throughout the season, so they are one game away from revalidating their championship. To reach the great defining game, they had to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 86-72 in the semifinals, in a good night for Stephon Castle, who contributed 21 points and five rebounds.

But center Donovan Clingan was not far behind, as he added 18 units with another five boards. It was a splendid night for UConn, which dominated both halves with some composure.

The defending champs only lost three times on the season, as their overall record was 36-3, and they knocked off Stetson, Northwestern, San Diego St., Illinois, and Alabama in the Playoffs.

Their most outstanding player throughout the campaign has been point guard Tristen Newton, averaging 15 points and 6.1 assists in 33 minutes.

The University of Connecticut is looking for something that hasn’t happened in a long time, a two-time NCAA champion. The last team to achieve it was the Florida Gators (2006 and 2007).

It should not be forgotten that the Huskies are one of the universities with the most championships, with five in total. If they win, they would tie North Carolina’s record.

Final Betting Analysis: Purdue vs. UConn

Purdue has won all the games they have played as underdogs, while UConn has triumphed in all their matches where they came as favorites. The defending champions are favored in all Moneylines, and the numbers usually give them around 75% of winning chances.
