Why Bet on the 49ers?

With several veterans and young stars delivering outstanding performances, the 49ers emerged as serious Super Bowl contenders. Their 12-5 record marked a significant change from the previous year and signaled that San Francisco was, once again, a force to be reckoned with in the NFC.

The 49ers had a bye in the first round of the playoffs (Wildcard), so they had a week of rest and preparation for their first game.

In the Divisional Round, the 49ers faced the Green Bay Packers at home. It was a defensive battle, with both teams struggling to move the ball at times. The 49ers were able to build a slim 7-6 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Packers came alive on offense and took a 21-14 lead going into the fourth quarter. However, the 49ers rallied to take a 24-21 lead. Then, the defense came up big to prevent Jordan Love and the Packers from scoring on their final drive.

It was a hard-fought win that sent the 49ers to their third NFC Championship Game appearance in a row and their fourth in the last five seasons.

Why Bet on the Lions?

The Detroit Lions made the playoffs on a high note after an impressive regular season performance. They posted a 12-5 record to win the NFC North title, proving they are serious contenders for Super Bowl LVIII.

Led by quarterback Jared Goff and running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, the Lions offense is firing on all cylinders at all opponents.

The Detroit Lions entered the playoffs in the Wildcard Round where they faced the Rams. It was a close game that was nail-biting to the end, but they managed to come out on top by a narrow score of 24-23. Quarterback Jared Goff had a solid outing, passing for 277 yards and one touchdown. Detroit’s defense also stepped up, forcing several turnovers that proved to be the difference in the game.

In the divisional round, the Lions played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. Detroit’s offense exploded with 31 points behind monster plays from Gibbs, Montgomery, and Goff. The defense also held Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield to 2 catches and limited Tampa Bay to just 23 points. With the 31-23 victory, the Lions advanced to their first NFC Championship game since 1991. After handling two tough playoff opponents, they appear to be heating up at the right time.

Final Betting Analysis: 49ers vs. Lions

This match has been played 68 times in the history of the league, and the 49ers lead the series with 39 victories. On the other hand, the Lions have managed to win 28 times, while one game has ended in a tie.

In addition, we have San Francisco winning their two most recent games against Detroit by 30-27 and 41-33.

At Gambyl Betting Exchange, we can see that there is a Moneyline that favors the 49ers at 1.35, while the Lions start at 3.75.

Under regular circumstances, this would look like an easy pick for the 49ers but there are some considerations that we shall do before. The team comes from two losses in the Conference Championships in a row, getting accustomed to drowning near the shore. Also, this Detroit team is as dangerous as any other rival they have faced before in this instance.

However, these two losses were playing as visitors, while the last time they received a game at this level at their home, they won. We believe the public will play a role, so we are backing the 49ers to reach their second Super Bowl in the last five years.

Let’s remember that the Chiefs are playing the other Conference Final, so there’s a chance we get a remake from the 2020 Super Bowl edition. Surely, the San Francisco franchise will look for complete revenge against the AFC team.

Look for a win on the 49ers’ Moneyline. If you put $100 on them at 1.38, you’ll see a $35.00 win with a total payout of $135.00.
